Hi! We are not finding out the gender of our baby due in a couple of months - we have a couple of boy names picked, but we are struggling to choose a girl name for our baby. Here are the names we are between:
Both my mother and mother-in-law’s middle names are “Ann” so it would be nice to incorporate that. And my middle name is Elise, so we thought Annelise or Ann Elise (with Elise being the middle name) might be a nice combo of the two, but we aren’t necessarily tied to it.
We also have a son named Jack, so we want the baby’s name to work well with his name also.
What are everyone’s thoughts on the names above? Or other similar suggestions?
Another vote for Annelise!
I think I prefer Annelise with its own middle name than Ann (first name) Elise (middle name), because with Annelise she gets to have a middle that is unique to herself and not an honor name.
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Annelise[/name_f]! I adore [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] with [name_m]Jack[/name_m], and I love the idea of incorporating both [name_f]Ann[/name_f] and [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
Your list is lovely. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite for you is [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] - Great personal meaning and it works really well with [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. Also lots of great nickname options … [name_f]Nell[/name_f] I particularly love!
I think given your honour names [name_f]Ann[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Annie[/name_f] is lovely! [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_f]Annie[/name_f] is so cute!
Consider how each first name sounds with your surname. I like both [name_u]Anne[/name_u] and [name_f]Annelise[/name_f]. Which flows better? One name is one syllable the other three. The first and last name will be said together most often.
That being said, I love the nickname [name_f]Annie[/name_f] with [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. One more thought…… [name_u]Anne[/name_u] and [name_m]Jack[/name_m] are more the same style than [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] and [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. Also, you have a perfect middle name settled with [name_u]Anne[/name_u]. I do prefer the [name_u]Anne[/name_u] spelling over the [name_f]Ann[/name_f] spelling. With [name_u]Anne[/name_u] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] I love the sound of the two vowels beginning the first and middle names.
