Girl names are hard - Help!?

Hello, all!

We are almost 21 weeks with our second babe. We aren’t finding out the gender so we need a name for either way. We can’t seem to agree on girl anything, haha! We like Hispanic/Latino names that flow well with our semi-common Hispanic surname ending in -o. We want to call our new peanut by its middle name, as we do with our first.

My favorites:

  • [name_u]Indiana[/name_u]
  • [name_u]Ripley[/name_u] (huge Alien nerd over here)
  • [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]

His favorites:

  • [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Ofelia[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] (I just can’t)

I’m in love with the nickname [name_f]Indy[/name_f]. Yesterday hubby mentioned the name [name_f]Indira[/name_f] and it’s quickly growing on me.

Our 18-month old little guy is ”lvaro [name_m]Javier[/name_m], aka [name_m]Javi[/name_m]. Our boy pick for #2 is [name_m]Maximo[/name_m] [name_m]Rafael[/name_m], aka [name_f]Rafa[/name_f].

Opinions, input, help?! Thanks everyone!

I really like [name_f]Ofelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], especially with ”lvaro/[name_m]Javi[/name_m]. [name_u]Ripley[/name_u] is too unisex for my taste, and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] are not my style.
If you like [name_f]Indy[/name_f], why don’t you use it as her full name? Another option is to use [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] “[name_f]Indy[/name_f]”, but I don’t know how well it goes with -o last name. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you want us to suggest some other names?

I love [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], too! I just don’t think it sounds great with our last name. Suggestions are definitely welcome!

[name_m]Alvaro[/name_m] and [name_f]Indira[/name_f] seem perfect to me! I like it much better than [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] and [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]. [name_f]Ofelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] would also work well. [name_f]Indira[/name_f] is my favorite, though:)
