So what do you think of this article and about the fact that traditionally feminine names are gonna be used for Boys starting this year? I thought this was never going to happen, but it is now.
I’d love to see this happen! I’m always a fan of gender neutral/feminine-leaning names on boys, and I’m happy to see people becoming more open to going against gender norms
does this mean…hazel on a boy doesn’t have to be a gp for me?!
So what female names do you hope to see used for Boys this year? Go as crazy as you want.
merry, summer, rose, olive, joy, hope, and clover would all be cute on a boy, imo.
I just have to say I appreciate your dedication to this topic over the years.
If someone calles their son “Anita”. It would be cool for a boy.
I have heard [name_f]Anita[/name_f] used as a middle on a boy (fictional). Thats where I got the idea from (Though I’d spell it Anyta- [name_f]Anita[/name_f] with a Y. The pn wouldn’t change).
Most of these are kind of unisex anyway, but I love the idea of [name_u]Hazel[/name_u], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], and [name_u]Sage[/name_u] going more to the boys! Also waiting for [name_u]Misha[/name_u], [name_u]Sasha[/name_u], etc. to be more acceptable for boys in [name_u]America[/name_u]!
i met a boy named olive irl, and ever since then i’ve been obsessed. i would love to see it used more on a boy!!
ooh, i like this!! i don’t know if i’d be thrilled to see, say, lily or amy, on a boy, but hazel and hope and elowen? i want them to be normalized
so did i!!!
omg!!! that is awesome!!!
ikr!!!
I’m just going to say that I have seen [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] used as a middle name for a boy
Yup, [name_m]Case[/name_m] in Point, this character named [name_m]Kurt[/name_m] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] Hummel who is played by [name_u]Chris[/name_u] Colfer. It’s so interesting that his middle name in Glee is actually [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I don’t think a lot of people even know that.
It is time! I’ve always had a soft spot for those.
it’s been guessed that his moms name was [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Amy[/name_f] would make a cute nickname for [name_m]Amias[/name_m] (am-ee-us). [name_f]Mia[/name_f] would too.
I love [name_m]Amias[/name_m] “Amy” too! Another boy-name-with-feminine-nickname that I love is [name_m]Lucian[/name_m] “Lucy”.
