I want to see some girly, feminine, frilly, names for boys.
Valentine and [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] immediately came to mind. Both technically unisex but feel very feminine these days, I think.
I’m not a huge fan of genderbending names on either gender, but I like switching up word names!
Ivy
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Fern[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Acacia[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Aderyn[/name_f]
[name_u]Willow[/name_u] (I think this is technically unisex but definitely viewed as feminine on nameberry!)
I do find it interesting that you describe feminine things as frivolous… perhaps a better word would be frilly?

I like [name_u]Willow[/name_u], [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_u]June[/name_u] on boys, especially as a middle name. I know most of these are technically seen as unisex, but they all tend to favor girls.
Percival. I consider this name frivolous

Maybe you’ll find some good ideas in these threads?
I want my son to have a strong, intelligent name so that is why I’ve chosen each name on the list. There are many other strong and intelligent women throughout history, so go ahead people and name all those awesome women with their womanly names so my son can have a truly ‘spunky’ name!!
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]

Give me some Legit, Genuine girls name for a boy. No unisex names, or gender neutral.
And the reason why I am posting this on my first account, is because I am only allowed to keep it to one profile only. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_m]Olsen[/name_m] and [name_f]Carol[/name_f] Danvers were all mine. [name_m]Just[/name_m] to let you know. I made all those profiles.
Anyways, with that being said. Lets reject the boy name on girl trend.
What kind of Traditional Feminine Names would you all like to see used on Boys one of these days? I am curious to know your thoughts.
In the past decade, there’s been a huge surge of girls with traditionally masculine names (think [name_u]Avery[/name_u] and [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]). In the past year or two, many parents have even started naming baby girls names like [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]John[/name_m], names with very long histories of being male. But I haven’t noticed a similar trend in boys’ names. Why is it that it’s considered normal for a girl to be named [name_u]Michael[/name_u], but not for a boy to be name…
