Girl Names Help - Which works with a tricky surname?

We have a tricky surname - obviously I won’t say what it is but it starts with a Z and ends in an “uh” sound…

We’re struggling to find names that we can agree on, and then that actually go with our surname.

Our favourite is [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but would you avoid for the “s”/“z” sound together, or do you think we could get away with it? Would [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] be better? We’re not too keen on [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosanna[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] because it’s so simple and pretty.

Here’s the remainder of our current list - the only other names we can vaguely agree on! - and comments, if anyone feels inspired to help!

  • [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] (mn only, DH thinks it’s ‘too much’ for a first name and would cause pronunciation issues)
  • [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] (mn only, DH doesn’t like so much)
  • [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] (DH thinks it would cause pronunciation problems)
  • [name_f]Lily[/name_f]/[name_f]Lila[/name_f] (DH likes both but doesn’t love)
  • [name_f]Viola[/name_f]/[name_f]Violet[/name_f] (I like but don’t love)
  • [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] (DH likes but doesn’t love)
  • [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] (DH likes but doesn’t love - I also love [name_f]Cecily[/name_f])
  • [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] (we do both like but not as much as some other names)
  • [name_f]Isla[/name_f] (I love but too popular)
  • [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] (DH loves but I just think it’s ok)
  • [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] (I love but DH doesn’t so much)

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is lovely. It’s difficult without knowing your full surname, but I’m guessing it’d be ok? Your taste is wuite eclectic so it’s difficult to male recommendations when I can’t find a pattern. I really like [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. Actually like all the above except [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]! Thoughts are:
[name_f]Linnea[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], Avelyn, [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Elisa[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Helen[/name_f]/[name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Moya[/name_f], [name_u]Risa[/name_u], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f].

Oh also, if you like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f], I’m pretty keen on [name_f]Ida[/name_f], which is under-used these days.

Your list is lovely. And [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is beautiful.

My first thought for you was [name_f]Iris[/name_f], and I see the pp suggested it as well. If you like [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f], and [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] seems like a good fit (maybe) for you.
