So question one, do you like [name]Ora[/name] at all as a first name? It’s my middle name, as well as my great-grandmother’s first name, so I’m definitely giving it in one way or another to my daughter. I just don’t know if it works as a first name. I’ve read here in other places that some people think “[name]Ora[/name]” sounds like “[name]Oral[/name]” and will get made fun of, but this was never my experience, at least not as a middle name. I’ve always loved it, and everyone who’s ever heard it has only told me how pretty and unique it is.
Question two, what other first names do you think go well with the middle name [name]Ora[/name]? I tend to like more traditional, classic names.
I’ll be honest and say that [name]Oral[/name] was the first thing I thought of when I read [name]Ora[/name]. Perhaps you like the name [name]Orene[/name], which is similar?
I like [name]Ora[/name] [name]Grace[/name] a lot!! All of the names flow great, but I like the idea of naming her after you and your great grandmother. I don’t think name teasing is as common anymore. There’s a lot stranger names out there! With [name]Rita[/name] [name]Ora[/name] being such a huge pop star now, I think [name]Ora[/name] will not be so farfetched. If you worry about teasing, [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Ora[/name] would be my second pick.
I think [name]Grace[/name] [name]Ora[/name] is very pretty. If you’re open to variations, I really like the idea of a name ending in [name]Ora[/name], too–like [name]Grace[/name] [name]Honora[/name]/[name]Grace[/name] [name]Annora[/name], [name]Grace[/name] [name]Aurora[/name], [name]Grace[/name] [name]Elora[/name], [name]Grace[/name] [name]Flora[/name], [name]Grace[/name] [name]Eliora[/name], etc. I do really like just [name]Grace[/name] [name]Ora[/name], too, though.
[name]Ora[/name] as a first name definitely makes me think “ora-gel” or worse, “oral.” think about when your daughter gets to HS do you want her to be teased as “oral”??? middle name would be okay if you love it though.
Yeah, I do question how [name]Ora[/name] works as a first name. [name]Do[/name] you all like [name]Grace[/name] [name]Ora[/name]? I’m finding myself really falling in love with that name. What other first names do you think go with [name]Ora[/name] as a middle name?
