Girl names

What do you think of [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] (Izzy) and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] (Abby) as sister names? (I don’t have children and I won’t be having them for a long time I just really like names and coming up with sibsets that I like)

it isn’t bad but Isabella and Abigail are both so common that this sibset feels expected and a bit boring

That’s true. I what do you think of [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] and [name_u]Abby[/name_u]? I like the idea of another long name with a short nickname ending like [name_u]Abby[/name_u]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any suggestions?

Izzy and Abby aren’t my style, but they’re cute and fit well together! i’m not sure what else Izzy could be short for, besides other Is- names, like Isolde or Isadora. Elizabeth could get nn Izzy too, i think

other longer names with short nns that are somewhat similar in style:
Beatrice nn Bee
Charlotte nn Lottie
Ophelia nn Opie
Cordelia nn Cordie / Delia / Lia
Eliana nn Ellie
Adeline / Adelina nn Addie
Evelina nn Evie
Luciana nn Lucy
Rosalia nn Rosie

They work well - classic with sweet nicknames

So cute! Reminds me of Jane Austen or Louisa May Alcott names!

I think they fit nicely together! They feel like similar styles and vibes. I’m not a fan of the names personally, but I think they do go together well!

I think they make perfect sisters!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

I like [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] & [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] a lot. They’re not the first two names that I’d pair as sisters. [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] feels a little dramatic & romantic whereas [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] feels a bit more homey & sweet. But they don’t not go together. I like [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] & [name_u]Abby[/name_u] a lot together, actually. They feels classic & friendly w/a little spunk. I know a little [name_u]Abbie[/name_u] spelled this way, so I’m sort of partial to that spelling. [name_u]Abby[/name_u] is more common though, so probably easier to go with.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Very classic sibling set definitely works :hugs:

They go well together! Feminine classics with friendly nicknames. Other ideas…
