Hello! I am looking for some recommendations for girl names. Every time I suggest a name to my husband, he shoots it down, and I am getting a bit frustrated! I love the E names the most, Evie and Elsie are my top 2. Any suggestions for names that have that same feel/ flow? I also love S and O names, but I’m pretty open We’re just not looking for anything super common.
[name_f]Edie[/name_f] - close soundalike to [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f].
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] - similar sound to [name_f]Elsie[/name_f].
[name_f]Neve[/name_f] - shares the v sound with [name_f]Evie[/name_f].
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] - an e- beginning.
[name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] - has that sweet -e ending.
[name_f]Signe[/name_f] / [name_f]Signy[/name_f] - starts with s-, ends with an -e sound.
[name_f]Evrose[/name_f] - gives the option of [name_f]Evie[/name_f] as a nickname, while also including s and o.
[name_f]Ebony[/name_f] - bouncy alternative to [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f].
[name_u]Ellery[/name_u] - ^ same as above.
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] - sleek name that includes the s sound, while starting with e-.
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u] - gives that o beginning, and still the two syllables with an e- ending.
Honestly partners can be annoying with the veto powers!
Anyways [name_f]Evie[/name_f] & [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] are so sweet here are some ideas you may like so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries
The first name that came to mind was [name_f]Birdie[/name_f], with [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] or something as a full name, however that might not be in your style. Your husband might like shorter names with “ie” sounds more if they came with a longer full name?
[name_f]Margie[/name_f] is cute with the “ee” sound and has the same vibe, with fukk name [name_f]Margot[/name_f] or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
[name_u]Sunny[/name_u] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] have the “ee” sound and begin with an ‘s’, they’re both also really cute.
[name_f]Cindy[/name_f] could be cute and has the ‘s’ sound.
It’s a bit different, but I think [name_u]Alba[/name_u] is a really sweet name, with the same sort of vibe and personality.
I’d like to suggest Elsa; I know there’s the disney association, but I really think it’s a lovely name, and the association will fade quicker than you’d think once you have a baby girl with the name.
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] with nickname [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] would also be really sweet and still keep the ‘e’.
For ‘o’ names, the only one that really came to mind is [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. I think it’s a nice name, and less common than [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], but it might still be too common for your liking (although I’ve never personallh met an Olive).
I also wanted it suggest [name_u]Dove[/name_u] because it gives me ‘o’ name vibes and is so stunning.
