I am expecting my second baby in [name_u]January[/name_u] and am struggling with girl names.
We have a daughter already named [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] (both names have some family connection). If we have a boy we will probably call him [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] or [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], but I am having trouble finding a girl name that we both love. These are the ones I’m thinking of at the moment:
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (hubby’s fav but I’m having doubts)
[name_f]Eugenie[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Genie[/name_f])

[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Beth[/name_f]

I also love the name [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] but it has been blocked by hubby
Would love to hear people’s thoughts and suggestions! Last name begins with S, so we want to avoid any names that end in an S sound.
Hate to say it, but I like your husband’s suggestion! [name_u]Love[/name_u] both [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_u]Marian[/name_u], but I don’t think they go as well with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
I love all your middle name choices! For the first name, I think I agree with your s/o. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is my personal favourite of the names.
My favourite is also Vivienne Mae. It goes so nicely with Rosemary Isla. My other suggestion would be Elizabeth Mae. All your names are beautiful though, so you can’t go wrong.
My favourite is [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] ([name_f]Vivi[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] would be such a cute nickname). The others sound a littttttle bit clunky to me (though they are beautiful names).
I have to agree that I like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] best with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f]–they’re just a perfect match! I really like the [name_u]Marian[/name_u] names as well, but [name_u]Marian[/name_u] has the same “[name_f]Mary[/name_f]” feel to me as [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. I like the previous suggestion of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], though. Might that be a happy compromise?
Another vote for [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]! Perfect with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and great in its own right. If I had a second choice, I would pick [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] although I agree with an above commenter who said the [name_u]Marian[/name_u]/[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] names have a “[name_f]Mary[/name_f]” factor that’s too close to [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].

Have you considered [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as a fn? It fits really well with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and there are so many nn options. If your husband loves [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] then you could use [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as the middle. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] sound really good together.

I’d like to give you the advice to keep searching. Keep searching until you find a name you really love and your husband loves too. You will get there but you will have regret if you pick a name that you feel so-so about. Although sometimes a so-so name turns into an ‘I love it’ name so don’t totally discard your list already.

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] sounds the best with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_u]Marian[/name_u] are too close to the “mary” in [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
