I’ve already posted once about names for our baby girl coming [name_f]April[/name_f] 4th but still waffling between names!! We have a 2.5 year old daughter named [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. Looking for a first name that will pair well with that - preferably of English/Scottish/Irish origin but nothing crazy or too unfamiliar. The names that we are considering right now are either [name_f]Isla[/name_f] or [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. Help!
While I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and like [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] seems plain next to [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and the I and then A in [name_f]Isla[/name_f] makes it seem a little close too. What about [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] or [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] (or [name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f], [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] if you want something longer) instead? I love the suggestion of [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] above too.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would both be great with [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f], [name_f]Orla[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Kiera[/name_f], [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f], [name_f]Sybil[/name_f], [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f].

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is a lovely graceful three syllable name which leaves [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sounding rather plain and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] sounding like a derivative of [name_f]Fiona[/name_f].
[name_m]How[/name_m] about…
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Deirdre[/name_f] or [name_f]Deidre[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Mariah[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Caitriona[/name_f] (pronounced [name_f]Catrina[/name_f])
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_u]Damaris[/name_u]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Catrina[/name_f] (or [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]) sound like an adorable sib set!
But I love all names on the above list and believe they all fit your requirements.
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] are darling together! That would totally get my vote. Others to consider:
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Carys[/name_f] (pronounced CA-riss)
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Keira[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Maura[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. Or howabout [name_f]Enya[/name_f]? Or [name_f]Evie[/name_f]? Also like [name_f]Katriona[/name_f].
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is an adorable subset… two of my all-time favorite names! If I have girls someday, I always wanted a [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Isla[/name_f], and it sounds wonderful with [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. I also [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the suggestion of [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f].
I had three ferrets and one was named [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]! Her siblings were [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_m]Hank[/name_m] and I always though they were nice together.
