[name_m]Just[/name_m] found out we’re expecting in [name_u]June[/name_u]! My husband and I have some names we like for boys, but only one name we really like for girls.
We live in the Midwest, so a lot of the names Berries seem to like would raise some eyebrows here.
Boys Names:
[name_m]Charles[/name_m] – would be called [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m]
Other Boy Names I Like but Can’t Use:
[name_u]Gray[/name_u]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] – [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]
Our last name starts with an H, so girl names ending with -ia make this icky “ee-uh-huh” sound when you put them together. Ending letters that sound best with our last name are c, e, i, k, n, r, and s.
The one girl name with both like currently is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], who would probably be called [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Libby[/name_f].
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is a nickname we’d be open to for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but we both like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Libby[/name_f] better.
So you love classics and vintage gems! Me too! [name_f]Love[/name_f] your boy choices and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! I wouldn’t nickname [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about:
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Anais[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]/[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] (depending on your prnc)
[name_f]Clarice[/name_f]
I apologise in advance if any of the endings are wrong. English is my second language and the whole syllabes and phonetical endings thing still confuses me =)
Thanks for following and thanks for the additional suggestions!
I think I prefer [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] to [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], even though I really like all three.
I love [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], but a cousin has used it already and it doesn’t work with our last name.
My husband likes [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] or [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], but I’m just not as excited about them.
I like older, fancier names like [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]/[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]/[name_f]Francesca[/name_f], but worry that they would stand out too much in the part of the US where we live.
I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] called [name_f]Libby[/name_f]! Some ideas:
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Laura[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
