Girliest name with the prettiest meaning?

Okay berries, Im THRILLED my 20 year old little sister is pregnant with her first baby! Our babies will be a year apart,so exciting! Her bump just looks like a girl bump, so we are all dreaming pink and purple  They already have two names set in stone (so she says) Im hoping all of you fabulous berries can help her with some other ideas. Her name choices are [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (she says [name_f]Bella[/name_f] means beautiful so she will be their beautiful rose. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is also her middle name) and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (meaning wisdom and grace). [name_m]Both[/name_m] names are beautiful, but PAINFULLY popular. What are some beautiful, super girly princess names with pretty meanings that will knock [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] off their baby name thrones?? Also,if you had to choose, which would it be? Thoughts on [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]?

Why not passing [name_f]Rose[/name_f] up front? My favourite (and my first thought) is [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. Meaning pretty rose. But of course it’s only if you don’t use [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] first (I notice in your signature).

[name_f]Ayelet[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Callista[/name_f]
[name_f]Catalina[/name_f]
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]
[name_f]Selena[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiammetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]

There’s a reason why [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] are so popular, they’re incredibly beautiful names. They’re esthetically pleasing and lovely to say out loud. I prefer [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], it’s always been on my list, but I love [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] too.

She could do Rosabel [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or Rosabel [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] instead? Rosabel is very beautiful, rarer and literally means beautiful rose. Or Rosabella.

[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are gorgeous. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] are my top 2 girl’s names. There is a big reason why these names are so popular. I love the meaning behind their choices. They have two wonderful choices. I could not decided between the two. Hopefully some day they will be able to use both names.

Although [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is one of my favourite names, I really dislike [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].

[name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a very beautiful combo (though as you say, painfully popular!)

What does your sister think of…

[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]
[name_f]Amabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleonora[/name_f]
[name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangelique[/name_f]
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
[name_f]Mirabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalina[/name_f]
Serephina
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f]
[name_f]Xanthia[/name_f]

And what about [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] in place of [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?
[name_f]Amity[/name_f], [name_f]Faith[/name_f] or [name_f]Hope[/name_f] in place of [name_f]Grace[/name_f]?

I like the idea of [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. Beautiful name with history and you still get the same meaning.
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] are beautiful names, obviously many parents agree. I personally don’t care about popularity, but I’m in the minority here on NB. I do, however, think that if you’re going to use a hugely popular first name, you should try to use a middle name that isn’t as “filler”. I think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are delightful, but hugely overdone in the middle spot.

What do you think of [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] or [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] or [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f]?

Beautiful suggestions! I should say she dislikes obscure names. She loves her name ([name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]) because it is elegant and beautiful and she has only met two other [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]'s in her life. I think she is going for the same qualities in her daughters name. Something elegant and heard of,but not necessarily popular  She also likes [name_f]Alaina[/name_f] but babies father dislikes it because it reminds him of a former girlfriend.

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] (resurrection)
[name_f]Angelina[/name_f] (angelic)
[name_f]Arianna[/name_f] (most holy)
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] (the golden one)
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (dawn)
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] (work)
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] (bearer of good news)
Fiametta (little fiery one)
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] (beloved child)
[name_f]Mirabella[/name_f] (wonderful)
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] (first rose)
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] (ardent; fiery)
[name_f]Tatiana[/name_f]
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f] (victorious)
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f] (violet)

I would choose [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], simply because I dislike the nn [name_f]Bella[/name_f].

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f]- Means gift of god or divine gift. [name_f]Dora[/name_f] as a nick name means gift. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] as a nick name means divine or goddess. [name_f]Divine[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Divine[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as a nice meaning similar to [name_f]Bella[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], or [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. Is a beautiful name.

[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]- [name_m]Just[/name_m] about as pretty as you can get. Meaning a type of angel the association is beautiful to. [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be beautiful.

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]- Another way to get a [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] is a graceful name that would go well with either of her favorite middle names.

[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]- Meaning gazelle. It has an elegant sound and meaning. Taby as a nickname is a adorable as well.

Good luck. [name_m]Both[/name_m] [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] are beautiful names, and might be worth bestowing even if she might have a few in her class.

Good luck and congratulations for your sister.

I think classic [name_f]Princess[/name_f] names will be wonderful for your sister to consider, I think a little girl would love to be named after a famous princess from a story so that she can read about her and enjoy her name that way.
