Girls, girls, girls! Need help with name for sister of Clara and Ella

Expecting our 3rd girl and struggling with name. Also, some people saying I need to stick with -a ending given [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] are our 2 daughters now. Like classic names. Have considered:
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] (likely [name_f]Lillie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lily[/name_f] as nickname)
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] (hubs doesn’t like too much)
[name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] ([name_u]Josie[/name_u])
Like [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but afraid too popular
Any thoughts? Thanks

[name_f]Julia[/name_f] is my favourite from your list, [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] are lovely together!

[name_f]May[/name_f] I recommend :

[name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Mila[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]

I don’t think you need to stick to ‘a’- ending names, as that could really limit your choices.

From your list, I like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] the best. It repeats the “l” sound of [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f], but doesn’t rhyme.

Other suggestions:
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]

Of your list I really like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u]. I also like the suggestions of [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] (or [name_f]Emilia[/name_f])

I love the suggestion of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] for you! My favorite of your options is [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. Other ideas:

To stick with the a ending names

[name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillia[/name_f] “[name_f]Lillie[/name_f]”
[name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Maia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and Millia “[name_f]Millie[/name_f]”
[name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Leia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] for you

well, personally I like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Julia[/name_f] as well, which is classic. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is great, and i dont think all that popular. A few suggestions…[name_f]Willa[/name_f], or the always great [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. I like the suggestions of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]. Also [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is terrific. [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] is great too I think. And sort of fits your mandate pretty well.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and …

[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Dora[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Gina[/name_f]
[name_f]Jeannie[/name_f]
[name_f]Heidi[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f]
[name_f]Leila[/name_f]
[name_f]Maudie[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Nancy[/name_f]
[name_f]Polly[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]

X

I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] or [name_f]Julia[/name_f].

Some other options

  • [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Zena[/name_f]
  • Xecia (zee - sha)
  • [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]
  • Veya
  • [name_f]Layla[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Kyra[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Kara[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Zara[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Martha[/name_f] best with [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] – it’s 2 syllables and ends with an “a”, but it has a distinctly different sound

I love [name_f]Flora[/name_f], but it has much the same sound as [name_f]Clara[/name_f]

I also love [name_f]Anna[/name_f], as long as [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] doesn’t start to sound a bit too Frozen to you!

If you decide to forgo an “a” ending, I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] sounds great with this sibset, too!

I like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] from your list. [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] are princess/ballerina names to me so I’m tempted to suggest something that has that type of character attached. I like [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Nina[/name_f], and [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] from pps.

I don’t think you have to have an -a ending!

I love [name_f]Millie[/name_f] from your list the best!
Maybe instead of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], maybe [name_f]Olive[/name_f]?

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
Like [name_f]Julia[/name_f] the best
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]!

[name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] would be my pick. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] matches her sisters perfectly, short, beautiful, classic that contains an L and ends in A.

Thanks for all the great suggestions and input. I really appreciate it!

Apologies for repeats…

[name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], & …

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_f]Livia[/name_f]
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Silvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f]
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Davina[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillie[/name_f]

I know it is so tempting to follow a pattern, but I would vary it slightly. I’d like…

Clar.a, [name_f]Ell[/name_f].a and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]
or possibly [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]

Keep the style, keep the ending “a”, but vary the syllable count and don’t repeat an “l.”

I really like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] with your girls. I think [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] fits well, despite not ending in A, because it still has those prominent L sounds, and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is really perfect. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] would be fine too, but I’m partial to [name_f]Julia[/name_f].
