Thinking of girls names for number 2 and nothing is standing out! We already have a [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] but not sure if these go ok with her name. Looking for something not popular (We live in the U.K).
Current list…
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]/ [name_f]Adelais[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] (love this although not sure about another C name especially as mine and hubbys names also start with C!)
[name_f]Estella[/name_f]
[name_f]Ardelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Larissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Fleur[/name_f]
With [name_f]Cora[/name_f], of the nine listed I like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] (I think the two C’s would work beautifully as one is harsh and the other is not) and [name_f]Fleur[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] might work best as a middle, working with [name_f]Cora[/name_f]'s [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] to create that whimsical, romantic and feminine vibe that both names seem to have. [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] also has this kind of feel, though in a more subtle kind of way.
[name_f]My[/name_f] votes go to [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f].
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is perfect!
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]/ [name_f]Adelais[/name_f]- [name_f]My[/name_f] pick of the bunch. Sounds strong like [name_f]Cora[/name_f].
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]- Gets my second place vote. Very sweet.
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]- [name_f]My[/name_f] third pick. Works with [name_f]Cora[/name_f] stylistically without being overly matchy. And it ages super well.
[name_f]Arabelle[/name_f]- Too “light” sounding with [name_f]Cora[/name_f].
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]- I’d avoid C’s, unless you want to stick with them for a future baby #3! (Which would be easy, as there are simply loads of cool C names.)
[name_f]Estella[/name_f]- Doesn’t flow with [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. I would prefer [name_f]Stella[/name_f] & [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. [name_f]Estella[/name_f]'s a little too frilly, but would work as a middle b/c it’s more of a match with [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
[name_f]Ardelia[/name_f]- Too frilly w/ [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. Would work in the middle.
[name_f]Larissa[/name_f]- Too frilly w/ [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. Would work in the middle.
[name_f]Fleur[/name_f]- [name_m]Just[/name_m] doesn’t work with [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. Makes me want to say “[name_f]Flora[/name_f]” when I say [name_f]Cora[/name_f] & [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]. I do love it though!
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite combos would be
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Estella[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f]
If you decide you do want a C, why not [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]? It’s an ancient name, yet the strong"O" sets it apart from [name_f]Cora[/name_f].
If you like [name_f]Ardelia[/name_f], why not [name_u]Arden[/name_u]? It has the minimalist feel of [name_f]Cora[/name_f], yet is quite different.
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is stunning! I love love love [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] together. By far the best, imo. But i also love these 2 names to begin with.
[name_f]Estella[/name_f] is pretty too but feels fussier than [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] are more on the same page to me, and [name_f]Estella[/name_f] and [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] maybe.
I have [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Coraline[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] on my list. If you like any, have at 'em!
I think [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] goes really well with [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. I also saw [name_f]Willa[/name_f] in your signature block and thought that goes really well too. I think anything that has a hip yet simple feel to it will be great!
You really can’t go wrong with a list like that! I like them all!
But, because the whole fam has “C” names I would co with [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] (which is lovely) or another “C” name. That is unless you plan on having more kids with other first initials.
I knew a family who all had “T” names except for one daughter. I think she was bummed about being the odd one out. Whenever they would do something without her she would jokingly says, “It’s a T thing” or “the Ts are going without me.”
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites for you would be:
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] or [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] “sylvie” [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] ([name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] sounds stronger than [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] to me)
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Ardelia[/name_f]
Thanks so much for the replies. The more I think about it I don’t think I should rule out [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] for starting with C as pointed out it has a different sound to [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and would mean she isn’t left out the C club! Really like a lot of the combos people have suggested especially [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f].
I do love [name_f]Willa[/name_f] too Im just a bit put off by the potential nn of [name_m]Will[/name_m]/[name_m]Willy[/name_m].
