Girls’ name crushes not in Nameberry’s database?
For me, definitely Kestrel. It’s strong, a bird name, has a literature connection, and has the cute nickname [name_f]Kess[/name_f]. I love it!
Kestrel.
Like it.
Thanks, [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]!
No problem
[name_f]My[/name_f] dream is to see Kestrel get its own Nameberry page one day ![]()
Siofra is STILL not on the database which I find sort of annoying. It’s Irish pronounced SHEE-fra.
Lowenna. I love it. It’s only the second most common Cornish name in Cornwall, after [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]. Waaaaay more popular than [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]. It’s not even on BtN.
I just saw the musical Wicked for the first time last week, so the name Elphaba (yes I know it’s made up) has been on my mind a lot! It’s nothing I would ever dream of using on a real child, but I absolutely loved her character and usually that means that I will start to love the name as well
Ismeria is one for me, and Clarimond! [name_f]Elea[/name_f] on British [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Names covered both for Names of the Week.
