I recently came across the name [name_f]Kalinda[/name_f] on the site, and love it! it is Hindu origin meaning ‘sun.’ It is also an exact combination of my name and my mother’s name! My only concern is that it does sound somewhat made-up and I really do not care for made-up names. What do you all think of the name.
Middle names I like for it are:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]- I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this name! It is so classy and pink roses are my favorite flower, and were our wedding flower.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]- I would use as a first name but husband doesn’t like it as a first. it means ‘light’ so paired with [name_f]Kalinda[/name_f] the name would mean ‘sunlight’ 
so [name_f]Kalinda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]? or [name_f]Kalinda[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]? or Neither?
I like it, and although you may feel it sounds made up it is obviously not so I wouldn’t worry. If it was made up, it would be a different story.
[name_f]Kalinda[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is a bit of a mouthful but [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is lovely, and I plan on giving the middle name to my first daughter to pass on tradition and to honour.

The meaning of [name_f]Kalinda[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is very sweet. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is gorgeous. I think [name_f]Kalinda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] flows the best but flow is not the most important thing in a name. I am not always fond of made-up names but I would not say I dislike them, it is not black and white. I made-up Annaline (AN-ə-line) and switched the spelling of [name_f]Mabry[/name_f] to Maebry. In this case, I like that it would be special to you, with it being a combination of your name and your mom’s. If people do not know about the name and think it is made-up, so be it. We cannot control what others think. There are also people that put their noses where they do not belong. If the name is special to the two of you, and you both adore it, that is what truly matters.
Kalinda Sharma is a character on The Good Wife. That’s about the only thing that came up when I googled the name. Also, just an fyi, Kalinda is a Hindi name. Hindi is the name of the language, not Hindu.
