I think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be the best choice with twin brother [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] have a strong “o” like [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] ends in the same way. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be the least matchy option.
Thanks [name_u]Mischa[/name_u]
I have just added [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] to our list now and I think I really like it! It sounds good with [name_f]Nicolette[/name_f] and with [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
[name_u]Haven[/name_u]'t tried to convince DH yet! He is keen on [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Isla[/name_f].
Please help me with some votes
I like [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] with [name_u]Noah[/name_u] but they are kind of similar.
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - adorable!!
I chose [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Nicolette[/name_f] because of their similarities; i like sibling’s name to be “related”. I really don’t care for [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] at all. Second choice for me by default would be [name_f]Isla[/name_f].
I voted [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] for the reason’s [name_u]Mischa[/name_u] listed. [name_f]My[/name_f] second choice would be [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. A long O is kind of an uncommon feature, so I would let [name_u]Noah[/name_u] have it and nix [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. If you’re going for something matchy, [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is the same amount of letters and has the same ending. It matches [name_u]Noah[/name_u] well stylistically, but it avoids repeating the uniqueness of the long-O sound of [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
thanks, I am really finding this helpful as I don’t want anything too match…I also like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] but my husband says no. I don’t know why this is so hard - I always thought I would find it easier to name a daughter!
I actually really like [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u] together. They have very different beginnings and endings but the “o” ties them together a bit. They are different enough that they do not seem at all matchy, but similar enough in style that they fit twins/siblings really well. I don’t think it limits you at all with future children, either, which is always a plus. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be my second choice. Another reason I like [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u] together (and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] also does this) is that it reverses the “a” endings for girls trend. [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is one of those rare boy names that end in an “a” sound–it would be a shame to spoil that refreshing choice with something as trendy as [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. I hope this helps! I know it can be frustrating to try to find a name that is just right!
Thanks penelopeann….
I loved [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] since we got married! We feel a little hesitant because of the popularity and that there are 3 chloe’s in our “twin” group in our area. I don’t know if that should be a deciding factor though….I never met a chloe until I joined the group a few months ago.
even though I like [name_f]Isla[/name_f], I agree with what you are saying. I think a two syllable girls name ending with an “ee” sound works so well with [name_u]Noah[/name_u]!
Hmmm… well, I can definitely see how 3 chloe’s in the twin group in your area could be discouraging. For something like that, I think you have to try balancing how much you love the name with how much your family will be hanging out with the other chloe’s as your twins grow. That was the advice I’ve seen in previous threads where cousins were going to have pretty similar names.
You’re SO right about the “ee” ending girl name with [name_u]Noah[/name_u], though. If I were in your position, I probably wouldn’t let the other [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]'s bother me. [name_m]How[/name_m] does the name [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] strike you?
I still vote [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]. I feel it s most similar style and popularity wise. Plus, you really love it! All the names on your list are beautiful!
All lovely names. I voted for [name_f]Isla[/name_f]!
I love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].
The shared O of [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] could be a cute tie for twins, since the names have different endings. But could also end up a bit of a tongue twister when said together. Same with [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]–actually I like this pair better. But I like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] the best overall.
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] just makes such a nice pair Gets my vote!
penelopeann….I like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] (and also coincidentally had [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] high on the list) but sadly husband said no to both……
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u] sound the best together. ([name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] also a favorite). [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u] just sound too similar. The rest are ok.
I am falling more in love with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]! [name_m]Even[/name_m] thought I still love the others. Thanks for the votes it is really helping!
