I only just found out that I’m expecting my first, but I’ve loved names for so long I’m already obsessing. Girl names seem to pose a bit of a problem for us. We caseem to fall in love with anything. He likes what I would consider “spunky little princess” names. I like names with a vintage air, but he turns away many because they sound too “old lady.” I think we both need to see full combos to really make the name click.
We’ve agreed on:
[name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
Pretty names. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] tread a good middle between princess and vintage, I think. [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] is really cute, I like it and [name_f]Carys[/name_f] a lot. I like [name_f]Willow[/name_f] as an unexpected middle to breathe freshness into an “old” first and make it pop, but honestly none of these read as really super crusty to me.
I’m a big fan of [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]. While it is short it is also a complete name. I consider it spunky! It needs a long middle though:
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] (I don’t if you like the repeating Y or not)
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
Other names that make me think spunky are [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f].
