I don’t plan on using [name]Jennifer[/name] or [name]Katherine[/name], I like the names [name]Katie[/name] and [name]Jenny[/name] as-is and I don’t want my kids having to say each year in school “I’d rather be called ____” so I don’t want to deal with longer versions of the names.
I’d love to hear peoples thoughts. Be totally honest, I’m not actually pregnant just yet (thinking about trying later this year) so I won’t get emotional if someone disagrees with me. I want to know what other people honestly think.
[name]Katie[/name] [name]Jade[/name] sorta reminds me of [name]Kate[/name] Spade. It’s not bad. I think [name]Katie[/name] is a friendly, spunky name. Not out there or super exciting, but a nice choice. I also like [name]Sadie[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Jenny[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], I’m not sure of the flow between these, but it’s okay. [name]Just[/name] as an FYI, you get questions in both directions. If her name is just [name]Jenny[/name], people will often ask “Is that short for ________?” So it’s not like it removes all questions. I personally prefer [name]Jenny[/name] by itself as well, but it’s not like [name]Tess[/name] where it can stand alone without questions. I also like [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Holly[/name]
[name]Leah[/name] [name]Sky[/name]. I love the combination. [name]Leah[/name] isn’t one of my favorites, just because I always think of the character in the Bible. But it’s pretty enough. I also like [name]Lydia[/name].
I love [name]Holly[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name]. I will take those into consideration as well!
I like [name]Leah[/name] because my middle name is [name]Leigh[/name], and I like the idea of [name]Lee[/name]-something, but not [name]Leanne[/name]. I’ve always liked [name]Leah[/name] but lately I’m not quite as gung-ho about it as I used to be.
[name]Katie[/name] sounds cute but strong, and [name]Katie[/name] [name]Blackburn[/name] is great! [name]Jenny[/name] sounds dated to me, and I’ve never been a huge fan of [name]Leah[/name].
I also love [name]Holly[/name]!
What do you think of:
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Blackburn[/name]
[name]Calla[/name] [name]Blackburn[/name]
[name]Lily[/name] [name]Blackburn[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Blackburn[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] [name]Blackburn[/name]
I’ve always loved [name]Lily[/name]. It’s something I’ve considered. As long as it isn’t taken by any of my husband’s siblings first.
Wasn’t a huge fan of [name]Annie[/name], [name]Josie[/name], [name]Libby[/name], [name]Molly[/name], [name]Ivy[/name], or [name]Calla[/name]. [name]Lucy[/name] is okay but not quite for me. [name]Ava[/name] is very pretty, I’m not certain on it yet.
Another name I just thought of today was [name]Emma[/name] [name]Blackburn[/name], particularly [name]Emma[/name] [name]Leigh[/name] [name]Blackburn[/name]. I may use that instead of [name]Leah[/name].
Another name I might like is [name]Shanna[/name] [name]Blackburn[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t know about a middle name just yet.
I like [name]Katie[/name] [name]Jade[/name], and while I like both [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Leigh[/name] as names, together they sound like [name]Emily[/name]. So [name]Emma[/name] [name]Leigh[/name] to me doesn’t sound like a first name and a middle name, but rather like one first name: [name]Emily[/name]. Have you thought of other mns for [name]Emma[/name]? Perhaps [name]Claire[/name] or [name]Victoria[/name]?
I agree with kala_way, if you use [name]Katie[/name] or [name]Jenny[/name], which are only nicknames 99% of the time, she will always get “Are you sure it’s not [name]Katherine[/name]?” and “[name]How[/name] come they didn’t just name you [name]Jennifer[/name]?” So with that in mind, plus the importance of [name]Leah[/name], I vote for that. But you also mentioned [name]Ivy[/name], and I think [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Blackburn[/name] would be stunning. [name]Emma[/name] is also very nice, but [name]Shanna[/name]…well, I’m not a fan. [name]Shannon[/name] I would have liked.
