We will be welcoming a little sister for [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] soon and struggling to decide on a name. We will have another little girl and these are the top names so far.
We would like to incorporate my mum’s name as the middle ([name_f]Joanne[/name_f]).
What name of the below do you prefer or any other suggestions welcome too!
Congratulations! [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] or [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] are beautiful! I love that you’re honoring your mum like that. All the names you have listed work beautifully though.
Ada and [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] or [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] and [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] get my votes!
I think that [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] sounds lovely as a mn for all of your choices.
Here are my thoughts-
Ada-[name_f]Ada[/name_f] is very sweet. It’s simple, feminine but not frilly, smart, old fashioned & not terribly popular. It is a slightly different style from [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], but it doesn’t not go.
Alessia-This is okay. I find it a little fussy honestly, but it’s not a bad name.
Margot-I like this w/Giselle, since it’s kind of [name_u]French[/name_u]. It’s getting a little bit popular, I think.
Vera-Another one of the names that I think is perfectly nice. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not my cup of tea, but totally nice & vintage & feminine & simple w/out being popular. Cute w/Giselle too.
I actually love [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], and [name_f]Vera[/name_f]–but I think [name_f]Vera[/name_f] in particular is absolutely perfect with [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], and I adore [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] as a combo
I think all of your choices go beautifully with big sister [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], and with middle name [name_f]Joanne[/name_f].
I’d have to say I’m loving [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], & [name_f]Ada[/name_f] the most though!
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] & [name_f]Margot[/name_f] both bring classy, sophisticated vibes while still sounding fun and spunky. They make me think of sunflowers, lemonade, and southern porches
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] to me brings more of a whimsical vibe, almost fairytale like.
I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] with [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], but I don’t like the back-to-back o sounds of [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] second pick for you would be [name_f]Vera[/name_f], which feels like the best stylistic match for [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] of the other three. [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] flows beautifully! And [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] & [name_f]Vera[/name_f] sound like very stylish sister names.
This is tough as I love [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and have a soft spot for [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] (my niece’s name). But with [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], which is gorgeous BTW, I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is just perfect. It matches the sophistication of [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] and just looks and sounds fantastic alongside it. [name_f]Ada[/name_f] would be a fantastic choice as well, and [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] is quite striking with [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] too.
You can’t really go wrong. I can’t say I’m a fan of [name_f]Vera[/name_f] though; that may be because the only one I’ve ever known was very old and so to me it’s extremely dated. I love vintage names but somehow this one, to me at least, doesn’t have the same freshness of, say, [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f].

Margot / [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] is my absolute favourite with big sister [name_f]Giselle[/name_f]!!! I am head over hills for this potential sibling set !
