I have three amazing children all four and under. I am very busy, like all u moms, and would really appreciate some name suggestions. I have somewhat of a theme going with my 2 daughters’ names. They are [name]Kate[/name] [name]Lynn[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] (she prefers [name]Kate[/name] [name]Lynn[/name]), and [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Liv[/name] [name]Emmeline[/name]. As u can tell the second and third names are similar and I would like to keep this theme going forward with our third daughter… I was thinking the 2 mn’s could be [name]Love[/name] (she was conceived on [name]Valentine[/name]'s:)and [name]Imogen[/name]. My son’s name is [name]Kyler[/name] [name]Matthew[/name], his first name is a blend of his daddy’s and his god-father’s names, and it means “church”. I don’t mind if [name]Kyler[/name]'s name is considered in this sibset because it’s already different from the rest. My last name is 3 syllables and starts with a K.
[name]Kate[/name] [name]Lynn[/name]'s nn is [name]Kit[/name] [name]Kat[/name], [name]Juliet[/name]'s nn is [name]Jules[/name], [name]Kyler[/name]'s nn is [name]Kye[/name].
I like [name]Seraphina[/name] nn [name]Fifi[/name] or [name]Siri[/name], [name]Giselle[/name] nn [name]Gigi[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] ([name]Poppy[/name]), [name]Jade[/name], and [name]Phoebe[/name], but I’m open to suggestions. If I ended up naming her [name]Seraphina[/name] she’d only have one mn, and a shorter one or two syllables. Any thoughts or opinions would be found very helpful, thank u in advance.
I think [name]Seraphine[/name] would work better than [name]Seraphina[/name].
[name]Seraphine[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] would be so cute!
I also like the nn [name]Siri[/name] for [name]Seraphine[/name].
Thanks norseberry! I really do admire the impeccable taste u berries have in picking names. The suggestion of [name]Seraphine[/name] [name]Love[/name] Eiizabeth is great. I like that u kept with the mn theme. I just asked my husband what he thought about the name and he didn’t immediately toss it out the window, so there’s a chance. I’d enjoy some more suggestions though, keep 'em coming.
I also prefer [name]Seraphine[/name] to [name]Seraphina[/name]. But I think it sounds better in your [name]Evangeline[/name]/[name]Emmeline[/name] position (not sure if you were going for E names or similar sounds/feel). Have you perhaps thought of:
[name]Imogen[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Giselle[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Jade[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Zoe[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Chloe[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Deirdre[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]
Great ideas girls! Lori - I think that you are right on about Phoebe being the best suited first with the other girls names. I didn’t see it myself though until now. I like your suggestion of another first name ‘classic’ like the others.- Never knew they were classic names! But I knew several old ladies named Margaret, Marguerite growing up and I just can’t shake that image to consider it. Love the ‘t’ ending though!
Bluejuniper - thanks for the reply and all of the great suggestions! Putting Seraphine in the middle was something I hadn’t thought of before. I like Phoebe Love Seraphine a lot! I enjoyed your other first name options especially Diedra, but the meaning ‘sorrow’ is quite a drag. I also like Clara, I had considered it for my daughter Juliet.
I would like to know what you berries think about another ‘J’ name to finish the K,K,J… J thought? Is that just silly of me trying to keep the first initial similarities going? And can u think of any energetic, slightly exotic ‘J’ names? My four year old LOVES the name Jasmine. Of course because of the princess! But we are a fair-skinned, blonde haired, blue-eyed family:) Doesn’t fit us…
Keeping the initials paired up wouldn’t matter to me, but here are some J names you might like:
[name]Jessamine[/name] (an earlier spelling of [name]Jasmine[/name], but less Disney/exotic; [name]Jess[/name] or [name]Minnie[/name] are nice nn)
[name]Jocelyn[/name]
[name]Jacqueline[/name]
[name]Johanna[/name]
[name]Julianna[/name]
[name]Josephina[/name]
[name]Jemima[/name]
Thanks ellenelle - I like [name]Jessamine[/name] but am not sure how to pronounce it. JESS-a-min or JESS-a-meen? Jaculeen, pronounced how it’s spelled, was on my short list for a while. I recently thought about Josephine, or Josephina, as well because it’s my husbands aunt’s name. Not quite my style though. I guess I need more opinions about the best ‘suited’ name for the rest of the sibset, not the initial matching suggestions. I suppose I’ve already talked myself out of baby #4 having a J name (I don’t really LOVE any of the options out there). We did talk about Juniper shortly… still like it. What do u think?
Opinions? Any other french first names that are still really recognizable in America that I’m forgetting?
