Hello I’ve never used this site before so please bear with me.
My fiance and I are expecting our first child in early [name_u]Jan[/name_u] so we have about a month left to decide. My fiance has picked [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] as a first name which is a family name from my side. We have also talked about maybe using [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] as a middle name in honor of his mother but I am not sure that [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] doesn’t sound a little too statey?
Last name is a common Spanish surname starting with a “Ch”, (a famous guy named [name_m]Cesar[/name_m] had it, hint hint). So unfortunately no O middle names due to horrible initials.
[name_m]Pleas[/name_m] suggest some good middle names- I am sick of hearing [name_f]Marie[/name_f], [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Faith[/name_f], [name_f]Joy[/name_f] ect…
Some we like are [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] (my fav), [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] (I’ve been told [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is too much though), [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], [name_f]Marisol[/name_f] , [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]
Please help me I’m desperate! Spanish middle names are also welcome but they have to be easily pronounceable to a non- Spanish speaker, (me lol)
Thanks [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]!
of your list I really like [name_f]Leonor[/name_f], and [name_f]Ofelia[/name_f] but unfortunately with the later we have the C.O.C. initials problem
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is very sweet! I was not sure about it a week ago, but it’s inexplicably grown on me in the past seven days. I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is adorable. If I add it to my list, I’d use [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]. I know you don’t like [name_f]Joy[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is fab. I also love [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Eva[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] from your options, as well. And I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but not so much as a middle for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] just don’t do anything for me. I feel like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] are too long with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], too.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is lovely. If you’re worried about [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], you could add a second middle name, or maybe it’s just not for you. It’s got a very nineteenth-early-twentieth century vibe, which most certainly isn’t a bad thing, but based on the names you listed, you’re more about that girly [name_u]Brit[/name_u] chic thing, huh? For the record, as much as it pains me to say, [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is rather much - so sad, because [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is a stunner! I like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] Ch-, even though my gut reaction is “Wow, what a long name!” and your [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] pick is really wonderful, probably my favorite. Other ideas…
If you are worried that [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] Virgina sounds a little statey, you may reconsider [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] entirely if you ever plan on naming a future daughter after his mom.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about another V name?
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Viviana[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Violet
Caroline Valentina[/name_f]
thanks ladies!! im really loving the feedback! you guys are so good with names. im kicking around possibly doing [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] but im afraid it might be too long with the last name…does [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_m]Chavez[/name_m] sound like a mouthful?i agree [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] are beautiful mn choices
Congratulations! My name is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], and my middle is [name_f]Maria[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f] flows pretty well, even if [name_f]Maria[/name_f] is rather common, and [name_f]Maria[/name_f] has the bonus of working well in both Spanish and English. I really like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] as well, and I don’t think it sounds too state-like, but that’s just my opinion. I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] also flows well, and you could do [name_f]Luisa[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] if you wanted it to be more Spanish-influenced.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]- [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] this!
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f], but I don’t think it goes well with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]- not a huge fan of [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]- I don’t think the CCC initials would be bad necessarily, and I don’t mind the alliteration, but I do think that the -line and -tine are too rhyme-y and singsongy.
I think [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Marisol[/name_f], and especially [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] sound too trendy and childish; they remind me of names I would have picked for a doll when I was in 2nd grade (2002… they sound very early 2000’s)
I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] both sound good, but I think the other options are better.
Whatever middle name you choose, your daughter’s name will be absolutely gorgeous (I may be just a little bit biased ;))
