I’m due in July with a baby boy. I already have a daughter, Nora, and am a little disappointed with how popular it is, but I’m afraid we may be over-correcting with our boy name :joy:

My husband and I accidentally semi-settled on Otis the other night, and while I personally really like the name I’m afraid it’s a little too rare, especially compared to Nora (although I think Nora and Otis is a cute sibling combo).

Please give me your unfiltered opinions of the name! FWIW it will most likely be paired with a super traditional middle name (possibly Michael).

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m] work great together! It might be rare compared to [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but it is familiar!

Congratulations! I love it and it sounds great with [name_f]Nora[/name_f]! Not too common but not out-there or unusual, plus [name_m]Otis[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] is so dashing!! I think you have a winner (but I’m biased because I adore it :woman_shrugging:t3:!)

Nora & Otis work well together! I don’t think popularity matters much as Otis is a relatively well-known name despite being used less. Otis Michael is sweet!

Honestly think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m] work so beautifully. [name_m]Otis[/name_m] is easily recognisable despite being underused and traditional middle [name_u]Michael[/name_u] grounds it perfectly :slight_smile:

I know an [name_m]Otis[/name_m]. I don’t think it’s too rare. [name_u]Or[/name_u] if it is then it’s not outlandish/rare. I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m] sound perfect together! Please go for it. They sound like the perfect brother/sister pair!

nora & otis make the cutest sibset! and otis michael is a great combo!

[name_m]Otis[/name_m] is lovely. Familiar but underused and works beautifully with [name_f]Nora[/name_f]!

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m] honestly sounds like a lovely sibset. [name_m]Otis[/name_m] is more uncommon than [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but people will still know how to pronounce it.

I can only see [name_m]Otis[/name_m] for a dog name. I hate to even say that. That’s my personal opinion though!

i honestly love [name_m]Otis[/name_m]! especially in a sibset with [name_f]Nora[/name_f] because I adore the name [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. [name_m]Otis[/name_m] [name_m]Micheal[/name_m] is so handsome

I love [name_m]Otis[/name_m]! It’s definitely less common than [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but it’s familiar and approachable in a way that I think makes it a good match. Plus it’s just such a warm, friendly, charming name! A great choice overall imo :yellow_heart:

[name_m]Otis[/name_m] is adorable! It’s just the right amount of quirky & clever & just lovable. It has great vintage charm just like [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. I agree that they’re just perfect for siblings. I don’t feel like [name_m]Otis[/name_m] is too rare at all. It’s simple & well known, but just not over done these days. Which is a great place to be, in my opinion.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m] are perfect together. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is beautiful. [name_m]Otis[/name_m] is friendly. Classic but slightly quirky.

[name_m]Otis[/name_m] is definitely an old man name for me but it would be cute for a modern kid too. A bit hipster maybe? But cute with [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. Not too out there but you might get some unenthusiastic reactions until people realize the cute factor.
