My husband and I have been TTC for almost 2 years now, it’s starting to get a little frustrating, but to take my mind off of that, I’ve been daydreaming about finding more potential names for future children. We have a 4 year old son, [name_m]Cedric[/name_m], and would like to find names that flow well with his name. His middle name is [name_u]Ray[/name_u] (after my husband, who has the same middle name).
I’ve decided that I will use the middle name [name_u]Lee[/name_u] with our next child regardless of it’s gender, because the middle name is going to be used to honor my mother who passed away in 2009. Her middle name was [name_u]Lee[/name_u].
In my signature are my current favorite names, and I would love to find more names similar in style to those, but that will also flow with my sons name.
The girls names of the day is [name_f]Sela[/name_f]! That might fit your style. Otherwise [name_f]Iona[/name_f], [name_f]Moira[/name_f], [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_f]Olga[/name_f].
I love [name_m]Cedric[/name_m]'s name. Have you considered [name_m]Duncan[/name_m], [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] or [name_u]Dillon[/name_u]?
I love the name [name_m]Cedric[/name_m], great choice! I also love [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_f]Zara[/name_f] from your list. All of these names seem British posh to me.
Thank you all for answering, I’m going to go through the names and see which ones I like and update my list I have.
Thank you! My husband and I found [name_m]Cedric[/name_m] by chance in a baby name book and we loved it. It made our short list with a couple of other names that I can’t even remember now lol. We wanted something different, that you don’t hear every day and that isn’t so unheard of that it’s a pain to pronounce/spell and correct people if they accidentally say it wrong or something.
And honestly you’re correct on the style of the names. I love the British names that aren’t very popular here in the US. They are like a breath of fresh air after going through the same names/trends that are here in the US.
