What are your top (ten) girl names? Why are they your favorite?
What names would you give an ash blonde and blue eyed girl?
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]
[name_f]Ansley[/name_f]
[name_f]Lola[/name_f]
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]
Somerset
[name_f]Arcadia[/name_f]
[name_u]Harmony[/name_u]
[name_u]Waverly[/name_u]
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f]
[name_f]Raphaela[/name_f]
[name_f]Phaedra[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Zinnia[/name_f]
[name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]
These are my favourite girls names at the moment, all for the same reasons they have ethereal/nature sounds and they all have great potential nicknames. [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] would be my pick for a little blonde, blue eyed girl.
My top 10 favorites:
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Arianne[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleni[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
I think. Although [name_f]Adele[/name_f] might be up there, too, maybe in place of [name_f]Eleni[/name_f]? Since I’ve increased my list from a top 10 to a top 20, a few of the options have switched around! I like them because they’re all timely and in-style, but very sweet and feminine and some are quite spunky (here’s to looking at you, [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleni[/name_f]!). I like the versatility of nns, and the meanings of a lot of them, and the family significance with some ([name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Eleni[/name_f]). I like that they all bring to mind a sweet, kind, innocent, determined, smart little girl who could love anything from painting to dancing to playing with dolls to astronomy or soccer. I like that with any of these names, a little girl could embrace her femininity yet define her femininity, as well, which I think is such a gift. I wish my parents would have given me that gift in my name.
ETA: The rest of the list, since I just noticed that 10 is in parentheses, is Adele, Catherine, Lilian(a), Aurora, Ella, Kaia, Audrey, Carolina, Eleanor, Tessa, and Anne-Claire.
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Eleni[/name_f], and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] are the ones I can picture on a blond-haired, blue-eyed little girl (especially [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]!). I can see [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Arianne[/name_f], and [name_f]Adele[/name_f] going either way.
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] or [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Faye[/name_f] or [name_f]Phaedra[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f]
[name_f]Ariadne[/name_f]
[name_f]Calista[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Evanthe[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
[name_f]Minerva[/name_f]
Miriel
These are my top ten. I love longer, unusual, romantic names that have a plethora of nicknames. The top two are my daughters’ names and the rest I have considered for a daughter.
For a blonde haired, blue eyed girl I would go with [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
Aurembiaix
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f]
[name_f]Velvet[/name_f]
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f]
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f]
[name_f]Ffion[/name_f]
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
For a blonde/blue-eyed girl I like [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], [name_f]Ffion[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]. The others I see as suiting brunettes/red heads better.
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Brigid[/name_f]
Liadan
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]

- [name_u]Riley[/name_u] [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
- [name_f]Kira[/name_f] Lindley
- [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f]
My top 10 girls names are;

[name_u]Artemis[/name_u]
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f]
[name_f]Minerva[/name_f]*
[name_f]Olympia[/name_f]
[name_f]Kenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_f]Phaedra[/name_f]
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]*
[name_f]Athena[/name_f]
The names with * next to them are the ones my partner has agreed to put on our list of potential names which makes me happy.
I can see a blue eyed, ash blonde girl being named [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] or [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] from my ten. Outside of that I would suggest [name_f]Ciri[/name_f]!
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]

[name_f]Sally[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]
[name_f]Darla[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
From those names I can see [name_f]Eliora[/name_f], [name_f]Sally[/name_f], and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] as ash-blonde and blue-eyed.
My Top First Name List
[name_f]Heidi[/name_f]- I love [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] because its familiar but not popular. It’s easy to spell and pronounce. I picture [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] to be fun, courageous, and sweet.
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]- I’m not sure why I love [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]. I am typically not a fan of -ley names but I love that I’ve never met a [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] personally. I’m shying away from it a little because I like [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] more and I couldn’t use both of them.
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]- Easy to spell and pronounce. Beautiful, classy, timeless and reminds me of a dark beauty.
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]- I love the strength of the R and the softness of the W together. I picture a blonde girl with big blue eyes who is sweet with a little sass.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]- [name_f]Isla[/name_f]…soft, feminine, slightly old-fashioned sounding but yet fresh.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]- I love that it starts with an H (one of my favorite letters) and that it has a different style than other popular names.
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]- a sweet little southern belle (I’m from the south) I think it would sound cute with a short middle ex. [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], ect.
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- Has a unique sound to it. I picture an outspoken and creative little girl who grows into a confident lady.
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]- Frilly, fancy, ultra feminine. Bows and dresses come to mind. Gorgeous and a fresh spin in the [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] craze.
Maisyn (MAYS-in)- a new favorite of mine. I probably wouldn’t use it because I don’t love how it looks on paper but I love the sound of it.
[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]- [name_m]Just[/name_m] love the sound of it. Would sound good with our last name. I love that it’s not popular but not unheard of.
[name_m]Favorite[/name_m] Middle Names
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]- Gorgeous, classic, and would sound good as a middle with our short last name.
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] the simplicity of [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. A very versatile name.
[name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f]- 3 syllables (a plus for me) and just pretty.
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]- Frilly and girl and three syllables. Not very common.
[name_u]Reese[/name_u]- spunky and cute. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it but it doesn’t sound good with our last name.
My top 10:
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]- I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Julie[/name_u] names, but a lot of them are too popular to me. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is stunning and totally underused.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]- Normally I don’t love old fashion names, but this one doesn’t sound old fashioned to me. It rolls off the tongue so beautifully.
[name_f]Marie[/name_f]- Totally underused as a first name. It fits great as a middle name, but I think it should be used as a first name more often.
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]- I can’t decide whether I love Mad-uh-[name_f]LINE[/name_f] or Mad-uh-[name_u]LYNN[/name_u] more. They’re both gorgeous and age very well.
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f]- I also love -lia names. I love [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but I love the look of this one more.
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]- It’s long, romantic, and totally underused. I worry about pronunciation issues, but I love this name so much!
[name_f]Linnea[/name_f]- A friend of mine has the middle name Lenae and I always loved it. When I found [name_f]Linnea[/name_f], I fell even more in love. It’s beautiful and underused.
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]- Like [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], this is an old fashioned name, but it still sounds fresh and current. It’s a classic, so it ages very well.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]- This name is just plain adorable! I love [name_f]Claire[/name_f], but it’s a little too plain. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is spunkier.
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f]- I’m not usually fond of names that sound like a nickname, but I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]. I think it can stand on it’s own and age very well.
I don’t have a top 10 but these are 10 of my favorite names.

[name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
I think that [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] or [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] would work!
My top ten:

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
If I could add a few more, I’d add [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Marie[/name_f]/[name_f]Goldie[/name_f]), [name_f]Aria[/name_f] (nn [name_u]Ari[/name_u]), [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] (nn [name_u]Ara[/name_u]), [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], and [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. I just love so many names!
And when I think of my future kids, I always think blonde hair blue eyes, but my favorites would be [name_f]Analeigh[/name_f], [name_f]Luella[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], and [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
