Not a fan. [name]Parker[/name] is very masculine to me.
I sort of agree…but I do like unisex names…such a hard decision…
Parker is so-so to me for either a boy or a girl, but that’s my taste. I think Parker could be a strong girl’s name if that is what you’re aiming for (and it’s much better than a lot of ‘unisex names’ which are really yucky to me, like Jayden, etc.). Renae or Renee or Rene is a nice middle name, and Parker Renae does have a nice flow and sound.
Other strong-sounding names you might consider (and names I like on girls):
Spencer
Arlo
Hollis
Sheridan
Carrigan or Kerrigan
Quinn
Reese
Blair (I know both boys and girls with this name)
Kyle (again, I know both men and women with this name)
Scout
Rory
Marlow
Remy
Traditional girls’ names that I find strong:
(short, to the point, tough-sounding)
Blythe
Sloane
Greer
Joss
Tess or Tessa
(feminine but sound like they don’t put up with anyone’s crap)
Scarlett
Bridget
Meredith or Merida
Vera
Harriet
Raquel
Nicole
Gina
(girls that have major presence, imo)
Athena
Minerva
Alexandra
Andromeda
Odette
Heidi
Calypso
Roxanna
Bianca
Christabel
I prefer it for a boy. I also prefer [name]Renae[/name], spelled [name]Renee[/name].
I actually do like [name]Parker[/name] for a girl. I don’t really like [name]Renae[/name] at all though. I don’t like the way the last R in [name]Parker[/name] and the first R in [name]Renae[/name] sort of run together, and I think that [name]Renae[/name] in the middle is very filler-ish and just bland. I also much prefer the [name]Renee[/name] spelling to [name]Renae[/name]. It’s not bad, though! There isn’t anything really wrong with [name]Renae[/name], I just think that [name]Parker[/name] could be a lot more impressive and interesting paired with something else.
I love [name]Parker[/name] [name]Renee[/name] for a girl. (This spelling). I actually prefer [name]Parker[/name] for a girl and think this combo would be great.
I don’t like it, but [name]Renee[/name] [name]Parker[/name] is cute.
Not a fan of [name]Parker[/name] on a girl at all. [name]Renae[/name] is okay but prefer the [name]Renee[/name] spelling.
I’m not a fan of surnames as first names, so [name]Parker[/name] really isn’t my style, and I don’t see it as a girl’s name at all, it’s very masculine. I prefer [name]Renee[/name] to [name]Renae[/name], but again, it’s not my style. I do think the names have a nice flow though.
I’m not a fan of [name]Parker[/name], in my mind it’s always a boy name.
But I have to admit that the combo is really pretty

I read a book with a character who was a female [name]Parker[/name] and I liked it. I appreciate that you chose a feminine middle to help make it more clear that she’s a girl. So-- I like the name, but it is pretty unisex, she might have a boy [name]Parker[/name] in her class. If that’s not important to you-- go for it. It’s a nice name.
I should have mentioned [name]Renae[/name] is my middle name…spelled the way no one likes:) ha!
[name]Parker[/name] is very masculine to me.
Although I’m not a huge fan of boys’ names on girls, I can see why some parents use certain boys’ names on their daughters, because they are a bit “softer” and can work on girls. In my eyes though, [name]Parker[/name] is not one of those names.
[name]Ah[/name]! That totally changes my opinion on it. If it’s a family name then I would say go for it!
When I think of some occupational names, I have a tendency to hear two words ([name]Parker[/name] = park her /[name]Hunter[/name] = hunt her etc…). [name]Parker[/name] isn’t my style for either gender and I find [name]Renae[/name]/[name]Renay[/name]/[name]Ren[/name]ée somewhat “dated” (it was at its most popular in the 1960’s). However, your combo [name]Parker[/name] [name]Renae[/name] flows well and if you love it then maybe it’s the name for you.
[name]Parker[/name] sounds like someone-- male or female-- who valets for a living. I think it is something unseparable from the concept of parking cars.
[name]Do[/name] you like the spunky sound of [name]Parker[/name]? If so, maybe consider:
[name]Piper[/name]
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]Paige[/name]
[name]Arden[/name]
[name]Schuyler[/name] / [name]Skyler[/name]
[name]Afton[/name]
To me these have a similar feel, but read feminine, and if occupational they have a nice association.
And if [name]Renae[/name] is your name and you’ve loved the spelling, absolutely feel free to give it to your daughter. “Correcting” the spelling (or lengthening it to something like [name]Renata[/name]) would still honor you, IMHO.
hmm I like parker and i like renee (more than renae) but I’m not a super fan of them together…
I like [name]Parker[/name] on a girl! I’m not crazy about [name]Renae[/name], especially in that spelling, but it does have a good flow. I’d prefer [name]Parker[/name] with a more “girly” name though, like [name]Parker[/name] [name]Amelia[/name], [name]Parker[/name] [name]Alyssa[/name], [name]Parker[/name] [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Parker[/name] [name]Aria[/name] or [name]Parker[/name] [name]Madeline[/name].
