Glenda nn Glen

Is this name
A) It’s sprightly & sweet & naturey in a fairy type way
B) too loaded with [name]Glenn[/name] Close associations
C) makes me think of the good witch way too much
D) [name]Glen[/name] is too masculine

Or a combo? Or something else?

[name]Leonie[/name] & [name]Glen[/name]… a pair of pretty sparkling fairies or no way?

I love [name]Leonie[/name] but I don’t like [name]Glen[/name]/[name]Glenda[/name]. I knew a really annoying and ridiculous man named [name]Glen[/name] and that’s all that comes to mind. [name]How[/name] about [name]Greta[/name], [name]Gwendolen[/name] or [name]Gail[/name]?

I think [name]Glenda[/name] is fine! [name]Glen[/name] reminds me of a valley. [name]Glen[/name] is a bit masculine, but if [name]Knox[/name] and [name]Maxwell[/name] are exceptable girl’s names, why not [name]Glen[/name]? [name]Greta[/name], [name]Gwendolen[/name], and [name]Gail[/name] are also great suggestions, uselesskitty. [name]Guinevere[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name] are my recommendations.

Oof is [name]Glen[/name] in [name]Knox[/name] territory. I guess I saw a sparkling & unique nature name but maybe not.

I like it in the way that I like [name]Fern[/name].

I love [name]Gwendolen[/name]!

[name]Glen[/name] is very masculine to me. I’ve known several guys (now middle-aged men) named [name]Glen[/name]. It’s also my father-in-law’s middle name, which we passed on to our son. (The actress [name]Glenn[/name] Close represents a rare usage of the name. I don’t know why she was given the name, but I can’t help but wonder if it was a family surname.)

However, [name]Glenda[/name] for a girl is fine, and I guess “[name]Glen[/name]” as a casual nn is not surprising.
