I’m looking for baby names that would be well taken to by most countries. What I mean: easy pronunciation and no unpleasant meanings in other languages.
For example, I loved the name [name_m]Oron[/name_m] until I found it it was one letter off from the spanish word for “urine”. I also loved the name [name_u]Tate[/name_u] until I listened to pronunciations of it and realized some countries pronounce it “Tah-tay”.
I know the best solution to this is probably biblical names, but I’m unfortunately not a huge fan of them. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think it’s hard to impossible to find a name that would work in every single language, in every single culture. Obviously, if a name means something bad in a common language, yes, get rid of it, but assuming you live in an English-speaking country I don’t think you should care too much if your favourite name means ‘ugly’ in Lithuanian.
Even the previous poster’s suggestions can have flaws. Emma, which is uber-popular, means “blood” in Greek, for example. I think at the end of the day you should just focus on the name working in the languages that are most common in your country of residence and the neighboring lands.

[name_m]Even[/name_m] a name like [name_u]Kai[/name_u], which has great meanings through a variety of countries, means “food” in Māori. It all depends on where you live and who you associate with. All names will have a negative somewhere, it’s just a matter of whether or not you can live with that negative and whether the positives out weigh it in your mind.
For Example: If you were to name your child [name_u]Kai[/name_u] and visit [name_u]New[/name_u] [name_u]Zealand[/name_u], you could go by their middle name.
