Hey, if you’ve seen my other topics you’ll know I’ve been narrowing down my choices, but… I’m actually looking for a bit of freshness, I’ve been zeroed in on these names for so long.
For context, I’m a trans boy (almost 18, Midwestern US) who has chosen his middle name, but is having a very hard time with his first. [name_f]My[/name_f] given middle name has a very direct masculine counterpart, [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] (although I’m also considering Nico; thoughts?).
Here are my top contenders:
[name_u]Leo[/name_u]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]
I’d prefer to avoid names that start with M or N. Thank you in advance!
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] would be refreshing to see on an 18 year old, it’s so charming! I think whatever you choose will take a bit of time to adapt to, find something that excites you!
Have you considered [name_u]Collins[/name_u]? It stems from [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] and I honestly just really love the name. I also really liked the suggestion of [name_u]Jude[/name_u].
i love jude!

[name_f]My[/name_f] son is a [name_u]Leo[/name_u] and I love, love his name. So my vote would be for [name_u]Leo[/name_u] [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] (my other boy has the middle name [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], haha. So I clearly love both these names!). I think they are so well balanced, the trendier (but still with a lot of history) [name_u]Leo[/name_u], paired with classic, grounded [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]. Plus you get the cool -o ending you would have had in Nico–so it’s the best of both worlds! Wishing you luck in finding the perfect name!
