Good or bad, wdyt?

I love the names [name]Lauren[/name] and [name]Wren[/name]. Wdyt of the name [name]Lawren[/name] for a little girl nn [name]Wren[/name]? Or the full [name]Lawrence[/name]? Any other names that will get me the nn [name]Wren[/name]?

I actually don’t mind [name]Lawren[/name]. If you can have [name]Lauren[/name] from [name]Laurence[/name] then why not [name]Lawren[/name] from [name]Lawrence[/name]? I wouldn’t recommend using [name]Lawrence[/name] on a girl though.

Other [name]Ren[/name] names include:

[name]Karen[/name] (me!)
[name]Renee[/name]
[name]Renata[/name]
[name]Brenda[/name]
[name]Berenice[/name]
[name]Brenna[/name]
Erenora (this is Greek apparently)
[name]Florence[/name]
[name]Keren[/name]
[name]Maren[/name]
[name]Orenda[/name]
[name]Seren[/name]

Obviously for nicknames you can stick a ‘w’ at the front of [name]Ren[/name] but I’ve always preferred my name without it

I don’t like [name]Lawren[/name]. I think you should just spell it normally and use the nn wren/ren. They’re said the same.

Yeah, [name]Lawren[/name] doesn’t look very nice in my opinion and you can still use [name]Wren[/name] (or [name]Ren[/name]) as a nickname for [name]Lauren[/name]. [name]Maggie[/name] and [name]Peggy[/name] are used for [name]Margaret[/name], so [name]Wren[/name] from [name]Lauren[/name] doesn’t seem like that much of a stretch.

Why would you have to change the spelling of [name]Lauren[/name] to get the nn [name]Wren[/name]? [name]Lauren[/name] has a “ren” sound in it so just use [name]Wren[/name]. A full name doesn’t have to have all of the letters of a nickname.

Those are boys names, I don’t think you should use them for a girl. I’d stick to [name]Lauren[/name] or [name]Wren[/name], [name]Wren[/name] could be her nickname.

I would keep the normal [name]Lauren[/name] spelling. No one will spell [name]Lawren[/name] correctly. I don’t like [name]Lawrence[/name] - too masculine. I do, however, like the name [name]Wren[/name].

I don’t like [name]Lawren[/name], sorry. It looks akward. [name]Lauren[/name] nn [name]Wren[/name] is just fine too me, I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch at all. [name]Lawrence[/name] on a girl is pretty bad.

Stick to [name]Lauren[/name] and call her [name]Wren[/name]. [name]Lawren[/name] looks awful and makes me think you have a thick Southern drawl.

I think you should just use [name]Lauren[/name] nn with the nn [name]Ren[/name]/[name]Wren[/name] if that’s what you love. [name]Lawren[/name] is awful, and [name]Lawrence[/name] would be horrible on a girl.

Interested to know why people think that a girl [name]Lawren[/name] (instead of [name]Lauren[/name]) is awful but a boy [name]Lawrence[/name] (instead of [name]Laurence[/name]) is acceptable?

Well, [name]Lawren[/name] is a masculine nickname for [name]Lawrence[/name], personally I don’t care for either of them on a boy or girl but to me they both sound very masculine.

[name]Lauren[/name] is fine though for a girl.

Are people not saying [name]Lawrence[/name] and [name]Laurence[/name] the same? Because [name]Lawren[/name] sounds exactly like [name]Lauren[/name] when I say them. I’ve never heard of a boy being called [name]Lauren[/name]/[name]Lawren[/name] short for [name]Laurence[/name]/[name]Lawrence[/name] only [name]Laurie[/name] or [name]Lorry[/name] O_o

I prefer the [name]Lauren[/name] spelling with the nn [name]Wren[/name]. These are actually two of my favourite names as well!!!
