Grady or Archer?

We have narrowed down our boys names to the final two.

[name]Grady[/name] or [name]Archer[/name]

I think [name]Grady[/name] maybe a little trendy but I don’t know anyone with that name. And [name]Archer[/name]…I don’t care for the nn [name]Archie[/name] and wouldn’t want people to use it. Is there another nn that we could use?
Thanks!

I like [name]Archer[/name] much better. If you don’t like [name]Archie[/name], just call him [name]Archer[/name] or [name]Arch[/name]. I don’t think you have to have a nickname. [name]Grady[/name] sounds like gravy and grody to me. I’ve never cared for the name.

I agree with the pp, [name]Archer[/name] is much nicer than [name]Grady[/name], I do not care for that name at all. I think the nm [name]Archie[/name] is cute but if you dont like it there is no reason why you can’t just call him by his full name, not everybody has a nm. In the future there is no way of stopping what nm’s he may get from school friends etc but that is true with any name. What are you considering for a middle name? Because for example if you like [name]Archer[/name] [name]James[/name], his nm could be AJ which is quite cool.

My vote is with [name]Archer[/name] as well. I think it’d be easy for you to avoid [name]Archie[/name] since both names are only two syllables.

Definitely [name]Archer[/name].

I absolutely adore [name]Archer[/name]!! I think there are ways to get around the nickname if you don’t like it. I mean, you don’t need a nickname and there are other nickname options if you really do want one. I think it’s a handsome, strong, and underused name and there’s a bit of smoothness to it without feeling ‘slick’.

I prefer [name]Archer[/name] as well. [name]Arch[/name] is an easy alternative to [name]Archie[/name]. Good luck!
