Grady?

Please tell me your thoughts on [name]Grady[/name]! DH is stuck on it and I need a little convincing still. I love it from the book All the Pretty Horses (the main character was named [name]John[/name] [name]Grady[/name] [name]Cole[/name]), but I’m not sure if it sounds a little too “backwoods”.

I like the name [name]Grady[/name] a lot. I think it sounds so cute on a little boy, but also ages well - i can totally see it on a grown man!

someone else has a [name]Grady[/name] post i recently commented on, i have to say this name is also on my short list

Lol, that was my post. I liked your comment so now I want to see what other berries think

ohhh hahha - good luck!

[name]Shady[/name] [name]Grady[/name]
My mom used to watch [name]Sanford[/name] & [name]Son[/name], so I vaguely remember the character. From what I recall he wasn’t a bad guy but I just picture an old man when I hear [name]Grady[/name]

I know a [name]Grady[/name] Brothers [name]Riley[/name], [name]Finn[/name] & [name]Archie[/name].

I think of greedy…

Anyone else?

I really like it. I think it’s cute for a boy and will suit a man. The only thing…they’ll tease him with “Gravy” but it that’s the worst they can come up with, oh well.

I really like [name]Grady[/name]! I first came across it in a [name]Christian[/name] children’s audio/radio drama I still listen to. He was a bit precocious, a bit lonely, but oh-so-cute, and I think it suited him really well. I love the nn [name]Gray[/name], too. My only hesitation is all the teasing that’s been brought up in this thread–“gravy”, “greedy [name]Grady[/name]”, “shady [name]Grady[/name]”, etc. :frowning: Hopefully it wouldn’t be too much of a problem. I do like [name]Brody[/name] and [name]Grayson[/name] better, personally, though.

Good luck!

I’m not a fan, I prefer [name]Gary[/name]… I guess as a middle name it isn’t bad, I just can’t help but think it’s short for Graduation and people shorten that to Grad. I can’t help but pn it like Grad-eee, though I’m sure it’s gray-dee…

I don’t usually like male names that end in “y”. However, I like [name]Grady[/name]. There’s a sophistication to the name.

I love [name]Grady[/name]. I grew up with a [name]Grady[/name]. He was extremely intelligent, so he lived up to the meaning of his name
Only problem is that you can mix up hearing [name]Brady[/name] or [name]Grady[/name].

i can only think grating…but I do like it… its pretty cute

Sorry, I hate it. Sounds like grating cheese.

I love [name]Grady[/name]. I read a western novel with a [name]Grady[/name] and have loved the name ever since. It is masculine and works for a man or boy.
