Any ideas to fill in the blank? [name_f]My[/name_f] strongest contender has been [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], but while I love [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m], and love [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], and even like [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], I don’t like [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] nearly so much. I had liked all the literary ties to [name_m]Edward[/name_m], too–[name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_u]Fairfax[/name_u] [name_m]Rochester[/name_m], [name_m]Edward[/name_m] Knightley! Any ideas for between [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]? Or even [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] _____? [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] stays, as it has special ties to my family.
I am biased with the name of [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] because it is on my list
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] or [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] are both awesome. I think your original choice of [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] is lovely too.
Here are some similar names to [name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_m]Edison[/name_m]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]
[name_m]Nelson[/name_m]
[name_u]Ellison[/name_u]
[name_m]Ephraim[/name_m]
[name_m]Walter[/name_m]
[name_u]Walker[/name_u]
[name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_u]Easton[/name_u]
[name_m]Wells[/name_m]
[name_m]Edgar[/name_m]
I think you really can’t mess up up [name_m]Grant[/name_m] ______ [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. They are both really strong names. Any classic name would work. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any more family names to use? Maybe you can use your maiden name? Or a name you love but aren’t quite brave enough to use as a first?
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] sounds fine. It’s not ideal because of the repeated R but it’s far from terrible, and if it has meaning to you then I think it’s worth it to keep it.
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] removes the R trouble and sounds a little better. You really need something with stress not on the first syllable (as [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] have)
I have a few more options I am tossing around, wdyt of these, Berries?
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] (not sure why I didn’t consider this earlier, but I’m on a huge [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] kick lately)
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] (or maybe [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], which I’ve tossed around before)
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] Frédéric (not sure I like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] with this, though. Wdyt? I like the tie to [name_m]Captain[/name_m] Wentworth of [name_u]Austen[/name_u] fame, and the [name_m]French[/name_m] form is in honor of my best friend, who passed away in 2011 and was [name_m]French[/name_m] through and through.)
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] (probably the least likely of the options, but I still really like it)
I am REALLY crushing on [name_m]Grant[/name_m] Frédéric today, and it is clearly my favorite, but I find it so hard to pair up that I’m afraid I’ll reject it in the long run…
I also love [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. Very, very handsome. I think [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Frederic[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] works. I do have to pause for a fraction of a second between [name_m]Frederic[/name_m] and [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] but I do not feel that is a huge deal. It’s very handsome also.
