I have seen this name a few times and i love it. It’s from older people also. thoughts on it?
Ugly, surnamey, and I do wonder what people are thinking when they name their child grey, it has such morose connotations. I’d almost rather be Chartreuse.
I’m sorry, but I kinda agree with the pp. [name]Gray[/name] seems like a very sad name. It’s a nice last name, but I don’t like it for a first.
If you really love it maybe use it as a middle name.
I really like the name too. My husband has some issues with “y” in a boys name (not sure why), so we have added to our short list Graden/Gradon as a compromise. Not sure if this helps people who have an issue with using “gray”, but I would have never even thought of that without reading some other people’s posts. I also have a cousin named [name]Ashley[/name], and some people are against “ash” names for the same reason. I don’t think that has ever crossed her mind (or anyone else’s). If you like the name, go for it!
i found it different.
I prefer [name]Grayson[/name] nn [name]Gray[/name]
I find it a bit to trendy and inline with the [name]Braydon[/name] craze. I like [name]Grey[/name] / [name]Gray[/name] by itself. I’m not a big fan of [name]Greyson[/name] / [name]Grayson[/name] either.
I agree with pp that I much prefer [name]Grayson[/name]. I actually love [name]Grayson[/name] and I don’t mind nn [name]Gray[/name]. [name]Graydon[/name] just makes me think of the [name]Aiden[/name]/[name]Kaden[/name]/[name]Brayden[/name]/[name]Zaiden[/name] craze. And it reminds me of a cheese grater :-/
I, too, prefer [name]Grayson[/name]. I used to love Grayden/[name]Graydon[/name], but it just feels like it’s a part of the aiden phase and I think, trendy though [name]Grayson[/name] is becoming, it’ll age a lot better than [name]Graydon[/name] will. Still, I completely see the appeal in [name]Graydon[/name]–especially with the dashing, quirky, fun nicknames of [name]Gray[/name] and [name]Grady[/name]!
I love Grayden! much more than grayson, which sounds girly to me! Grayden is very masculine and will age well! I say use it!
