Grayson vs Greyson

[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] vs [name_m]Greyson[/name_m]. A lot consider this to be a ‘this or that’ spelling, which it can be considered one, but I also believe that the two names have different meanings. I’ve loved this name for a long time and want to use it but don’t know which spelling I prefer. This is kindof a hard one at least for me because they have different meanings, and also different people and places have different ways of spelling gray/grey. Idk it may just be me but honestly when it comes to the spelling of a name, even if just one letter, most of the time I have a different image of what a person carrying that name would be like in appearance and personality. So I was wondering which one do you prefer? And if you have a different vision and personality you visualize with the two names would you care to include that too? I like hearing other people’s points of views as well as seeing what others visualize someone carrying a name may look like (in their imagination)

With [name_u]Gray[/name_u]/[name_u]Grey[/name_u] I like both spellings. We would use the [name_u]Gray[/name_u] spelling to honor my mom, who passed a couple weeks ago. Between [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] and [name_m]Greyson[/name_m], I prefer the look of [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]. I am not really sure why.

I prefer [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] because it’s the more familiar spelling of the name. [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] reminds me of Greystoke: The [name_u]Legend[/name_u] of [name_m]Tarzan[/name_m], the racing dogs and Greyhound buses.

I agree, [name_u]Gray[/name_u] is what I would choose.

[name_u]Grey[/name_u] has always looked more serious/formal/proper to me. [name_u]Gray[/name_u] is more casual.

[name_u]Grey[/name_u] is a colour

[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] is a name

I love [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]! I prefer the [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] spelling, but [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] is nice too. To me, the spelling with the a in it just seems like it fits better, but I think both work nicely.
