Ok, I know I posted today already on another name but I’m due in 2 weeks and have nothing! My husband has always been a fan of [name]Gretchen[/name], and wanted to name our daughter [name]Paige[/name] this. What do you all think, is it just terrible? It sounds kind of harsh to me but in a weird way pretty:) Other ideas I have are:
[name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Delaney[/name]
[name]Madeline[/name] (not a fan of nn though and she may get called [name]Maddy[/name])
[name]Hadley[/name]
[name]Avery[/name]
[name]Teagan[/name]
[name]Taryn[/name]
[name]Lila[/name]
[name]Eden[/name] (wondering if that sounds too much like [name]Braden[/name])
My kids names are [name]Dustin[/name], [name]Braden[/name], [name]Bridget[/name] and [name]Paige[/name] Thanks guys!!
I like [name]Gretchen[/name] as well. I always think of [name]Bridget[/name] and [name]Gretchen[/name] as being sisters, and I see you have a [name]Bridget[/name] already! I think it fits well with your other kids’ names. The other name I like from your list is [name]Scarlett[/name].
It makes me think of the word "retch"or retched, plus the only [name]Gretchen[/name] I know is a horrible person to everyone around her so it
's Im sort of biased. I’ve just never understood the appeal of this name. You have some other very nice choices like [name]Scarlet[/name] or [name]Evangeline[/name].
I like [name]Gretchen[/name] a lot, I think it’s cute. I don’t think the name has been popular enough to be associated with a decade. I’ve only known two Gretchens in my life. [name]Gretchen[/name] would be sweet with sister [name]Bridget[/name].
[name]Scarlett[/name]-love
[name]Evangeline[/name]-this one is growing on me, love nn [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Delaney[/name]-this name is cute. a little trendy if you’re okay with that
[name]Madeline[/name] (not a fan of nn though and she may get called [name]Maddy[/name])-nms
[name]Hadley[/name]-really cute, love nn [name]Hattie[/name]
[name]Avery[/name]-I like this. This one is popular in my area
[name]Teagan[/name]-this isn’t really my style, but I kinda like it. I think a little girl would be happy to have this name.
[name]Taryn[/name]-nms
[name]Lila[/name]-nms, trendy
[name]Eden[/name] (wondering if that sounds too much like [name]Braden[/name])-I don’t think it sounds like [name]Braden[/name], but I don’t love this name.
Good luck. You should post a poll when you get your list narrowed down a bit!
I love [name]Gretchen[/name]! I think it goes well with the other kids names. I also like [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Eden[/name] off of your list. The rest are ok, just NMS.
I think [name]Gretchen[/name] is an awesome name!!! I also really love [name]Madeline[/name] from your list. [name]Eden[/name] is a great name but it is a bit close to [name]Braden[/name]. I would definitely vote for [name]Gretchen[/name].
I think [name]Gretchen[/name] fits in really well with your other children’s names! [name]Bridget[/name], [name]Paige[/name] and [name]Gretchen[/name] all strike me as the names of strong, sensible women.
Off all the names you listed I like [name]Gretchen[/name] the best. I also think it goes well with the other names, especially with [name]Bridget[/name] and [name]Paige[/name]. My second choice on the list would be [name]Scarlett[/name]. Good luck!
I only know one [name]Gretchen[/name] and she is in her thirties and very beautiful, strong-minded and so funny - wicked sense of humor. So I have nice positive feelings about the name. Besides, I like the way it sounds. I think it’s quite sophisticated without being stuffy.
I love [name]Gretchen[/name]. It’s cute, pretty, and definitely unique since it’s so not popular nowadays.
[name]Gretchen[/name]'s not too 80’s for me. It can be used for 2010’s babies and still awesome.
