[name_f]Prudence[/name_f]— Not for me, but there are certainly worse names out there, and [name_f]Prue[/name_f] is a cute nickname for her!
January— I like [name_u]January[/name_u], and think it’s as usable as [name_f]April[/name_f] or [name_u]June[/name_u].
October— I actually like this one more than I thought I would. I wouldn’t use it, but it’s intriguing.
Deliverance— Not my taste/style.
Temperance— I like this one a lot, but mostly because of [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] [name_u]Brennan[/name_u] on Bones. It feels very Puritan, but not in a forbidding way. [name_m]Can[/name_m]’t think of any nicknames I like though and it’s a mouthful.
Wednesday— I would love to use this one as a middle (I’m not daring enough to use it as a first) but I knew a [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] and she was… not great. It’s a fantastic unique name though!
Narcissa— I absolutely love this one. Only reason it’s not on my list is the possible “Narcissist” thing.
December— A fine name. Honestly there aren’t many month names I think wouldn’t work at all. Maybe [name_u]February[/name_u], or [name_u]March[/name_u]? [name_u]December[/name_u]’s a little out there, but maybe not unusable, with all the -ember months you’ve got [name_u]Ember[/name_u] as an easy and usable nickname.
Cordelia— I think this one’s actually very usable. I’ve met a [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] in real life and she wore it well.
Magnolia— Not my taste, but very usable and a good floral. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], [name_f]Nola[/name_f], and [name_f]Meg[/name_f] are also good nn options.
Antigone— I don’t know if I’d use it, but I think it’s beautiful!
Mathilde— I prefer [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], but this isn’t bad.
Clothilde— not my personal style, but part of that is a bad association with the name [name_f]Chloe[/name_f].
Hecate— I don’t know that it’s usable especially as a first, but I do like it, with [name_f]Cat[/name_f] or [name_f]Cate[/name_f] as a nickname.
Lucretia— Not my favorite, feels a bit clunky, but [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is a nice nickname.
Artemisia — the sound is intriguing, but I prefer [name_u]Artemis[/name_u].
Theodosia/Theodora— [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] isn’t my thing, but [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] is growing on me. I wouldn’t be surprised if the [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] craze inspires a few little [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f]’s in future years.
Amalthea — This one isn’t to my taste, personally.
Peregrine — I wouldn’t use this myself, but it’s cute, especially as a middle, and I like the nickname [name_u]Perry[/name_u] a lot. I will admit I prefer this on a boy, though.
Ingrid — I unironically love this name and would use it. I’ve known a human named [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] and she wore it well.
Astrid— One of my very favorite names, but here in the states they often pronounce it ASS-trid and I like it as AW-strid. For that alone, I might hesitate to use it, but I’ve loved this name basically since reading the [name_f]Pippi[/name_f] Longstocking books as a kid (author’s name is [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] Lindgren).
