This is totally hypothetical, but my #1 name for a girl is [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]. It has been for many years, & I love just as much still. Probably would be [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] to honor my dad, [name_m]David[/name_m].
What would you suggest for a sister for [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]? Are there any names as beautiful?!
The only names that I love almost as much are [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] & [name_f]Gerty[/name_f]…but don’t love any full names for [name_f]Gerty[/name_f] so probably wouldn’t use it. I don’t think that [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] & [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] totally clash, but I would definitely want to use [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] to honor my great grandmother, [name_f]Nellie[/name_f], & think that [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] & [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] just sound off. This probably isn’t a big deal for normal people, but you know? .
For any reference, my top boy choice is probably [name_m]Ewan[/name_m], which I think goes fine w/[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]. I also love [name_m]Colm[/name_m], [name_m]Julian[/name_m], [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] & [name_m]Nolan[/name_m].
Thank you, adelina_sophia for taking time to suggest some names! I like a lot of these. Especially [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] & [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. Lots of great choices though!
Thank you, greyblue. I love love Finuala (maybe this spelling) & would totally consider it. However, my dog’s name is [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] & I just think that it’s too close. I sort of love [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] too. I’ve never much considered it, but I guess that it does go alright w/[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f].
Thank you, wilkie. Lots of great suggestions! I really like [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], but my cat is [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], so I don’t know. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is really growing on me too, but I don’t care much for [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]. [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is gorgeous, & I think the style is good w/[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]. I’m just not sure if they’re too close because they both sort of have a ‘[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]’ nn? I guess I should worry about [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] & [name_m]Ewan[/name_m] than too.
Thank you too, Fearlessfirefly. [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] & [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] are so cute, & I think that [name_f]Elora[/name_f] does fit great w/[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f].
I’ve also seen Gwen and Evie as short forms of Guinevere. Have you thought about Penelope with the nickname Nellie? Guinevere and Penelope sound perfect for sisters. Guinevere Daisy is beautiful btw!
Thank you again, katinka, river_dweller & katbug. I do like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] & also [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is still my favorite. I just don’t think that [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] & [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] go for sisters. That’s the part that bugs me that probably isn’t a big deal to normal people.
Thanks for the suggestion of [name_f]Azalea[/name_f]! I’ve had that as a mn for [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] until I thought of [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. I suppose it could squeeze into a first name spot. It does go lovely w/[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f].
