[name_m]Gulliver[/name_m] has grown on me extremely fast in the past couple weeks. And it might have moved up to my top ten spots. I have really been enjoying the sound of it and saying it a lot in my head and out loud. I am a huge fan of -er ending boys names and this fits right in with the trend. However, I want a unique (but wearable) name. Does [name_m]Gulliver[/name_m] fit? What do you think of [name_m]Gulliver[/name_m]? [name_m]How[/name_m] do you picture a [name_m]Gulliver[/name_m]? Is it too ‘out there’ or does it have just the right amount of uniqueness?
ummm … i think it is too associate with the faitytale.
Sorry, I don’t think it’s usable. I can’t really imagine a grown man named [name_m]Gulliver[/name_m]. If you like the -lliver ending, maybe [name_m]Tolliver[/name_m]?
I like it in theory (hey, [name_u]Gary[/name_u] Oldman’s son is named [name_m]Gulliver[/name_m]), but the more I think about it, the more likely ‘gullible’ baiting seems. The meaning really isn’t that great either (glutton). I think the literary connection is lovely, and a kid could pull it off, but you just have to consider that it would make teasing very easy.
I love the name, but I am afraid he will grow up being teased gullible.
I agree 100%.
I love this name - but agree, I can’t get the fairytale out of my head. What about [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]?
