Gwen and Jude’s little sister

Our third child has arrived, a little sister to [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m]. We named her [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f].

We decided on [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] early in the pregnancy. It was an easy choice, [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] has been a favourite of mine since I read Chocolat. It’s quite popular on this site which reassured me I was making the right choice. We could not agree on her middle name before she born - she was going to be [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] after [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_m]Quimby[/name_m], but it just did not feel right. We ended up naming her [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] for another fictitious character, [name_f]Sara[/name_f] Pennypacker’s [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. My husbands loves the fact that there is a [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] in [name_f]Eternal[/name_f] [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f] of the Spotless Mind, and I was glad to honour his [name_m]French[/name_m] heritage with our daughter’s middle name.

Other names we considered but eventually nixed were [name_f]Marina[/name_f] (after my husband’s aunt), [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] (for her birth month of [name_f]October[/name_f]), [name_f]Florence[/name_f] (after the city), [name_f]Helen[/name_f]/[name_f]Helena[/name_f] (after my grandmother and [name_f]Helena[/name_f] Bonham [name_u]Carter[/name_u]) and [name_f]Magdalen[/name_f] (I went to [name_f]Magdalen[/name_f] College, [name_m]Oxford[/name_m]). We are thrilled with our little [name_f]Anouk[/name_f], and our family is now complete!
