Gwendolen?

is it pronounced the same as [name]Gwendolyn[/name]?
[name]Gwen[/name]-doe-len or [name]Gwen[/name]-doe-lyn

can [name]Winnie[/name] actually be a nickname? can [name]Gwyneth[/name] be pronounced [name]Gwen[/name]-nyth?

what do you think of ‘[name]Gwen[/name]’ names? thanks!

I love [name]Gwen[/name] names!
[name]Gwendolyn[/name] and [name]Gwendolen[/name] are pronounced the same. [name]Winnie[/name] is absolutely a nn for [name]Gwendolyn[/name]/len. I’m not sure I understand your question about [name]Gwyneth[/name] - I’ve always heard the [name]Gwyn[/name] part pronounced like [name]Gwen[/name].

It’s pronounced the same, and I much prefer this spelling (I think it’s the original). [name]Winnie[/name] could definitely be a nickname.

To me, ‘gwyn’ and gwen’ sound totally different (just like pin and pen) but I know in a lot of accents they’re the same.

I love [name]Gwendolyn[/name]. I like both spellings though. Personally I pronounce them both the same. len and lyn are basically the same thing to me. I think [name]Gwendolyn[/name] just looks softer for some reason. I say [name]Gwyneth[/name] [name]GWIN[/name]-eth.
