I love both these names but they have similar sounds/letters.
I was wondering is [name_f]Tawny[/name_f] too much of a stretch as a realistic short form/nick name for Gwendolyn?!

yes definitely is too stretchy Tawny Gwendolyn would be a lovely combo though
Yes, too much of a stretch for a nickname connected to [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]. I could see [name_f]Tawny[/name_f] as a pet name for someone with tawny eyes and/or hair, though!
I think it’s too much of a stretch for [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] since there’s no “t”.
I do find [name_f]Tawny[/name_f] a stretch as a nickname for [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] tbh
They don’t feel super similar to me so I’m stuggling to see the connection but I’m also all for stretchy nicknames so sure, if it makes sense to you, go for it.
[name_f][/name_f]A T first with [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] in the middle would make total sense to me since then you have TWNY in the right order and depending on the T name you might also have the A. I think what’s tripping me up about [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tawny[/name_f] is that the Ta part is the most noticeable and prominent part of [name_f]Tawny[/name_f] to me so [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] not sharing that part makes them not feel as connected, especially because the Ys don’t make the same sound either so its kind of just the wn bit.
[name_f][/name_f]I personally think they could be on the same list, they don’t feel like siblings to me because of the length difference but I wouldn’t find sisters called [name_f]Tawny[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] too similar or confusing. I also like the suggestion of [name_f]Tawny[/name_f] [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] as a combo. [name_m]Or[/name_m] maybe [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Tawny[/name_f]. They share just enough sounds to feel cohesive together without being too close.
