Love the name Gwendolyn. Nn Gwen. Gwennie is cute too. But is it too close to my name? Hmm. The Nn Gwenna is kinda cute too yeah? I go by jen.
Thanks!

I wouldn’t worry about it. FWIW I also see [name]Wendy[/name], [name]Dolly[/name], and [name]Lynn[/name]/Lynnie as nn’s for [name]Gwendolyn[/name].
[name]Genevieve[/name] is a little closer but if you stick with the other nn’s it doesn’t matter too much.
They might be nice middles with some of the shorter ones you like: [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Gwendolyn[/name] and [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]?
All best!
Good advice jesba! :-). [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] is very pretty. I also like the similar ivy [name]Juliet[/name] :). [name]Love[/name] gwendolyn amd [name]Genevieve[/name] too. Hmmmm
Not too similar, in my opinion. [name]Gwendolyn[/name] [name]Iris[/name] is so lovely!
[name]Genevieve[/name] is also sweet, and is lovely with [name]Violet[/name] (you don’t mention your son’s name). [name]Guinevere[/name] is also a nice choice you could consider.
[name]Don[/name]'t worry I don’t think [name]Jennifer[/name] and [name]Gwendolyn[/name] are similar at all until you get to [name]Jen[/name] and [name]Gwen[/name]. My sis had a [name]Jen[/name] and a [name]Glen[/name], she was a J and so was her husband, now that was confusing try calling them at the same time and you will find that you start to stutter (in their case on the J sound).
Yeah. I think it could work
hmmm actually, [name]Genevieve[/name] Nn eve might work. If I establish that as a Nn early
On and use it in addition to her full name… It might work out
I don’t think [name]Jen[/name] and [name]Gwen[/name] would be a problem
I don’t think it’s too close:) [name]Gwendolyn[/name] is a lovely name [name]IMO[/name]
Thanks!! [name]Just[/name] bumping up
It is close, if you were outside and someone called out to you both you might have to say “excuse me?” to hear it again. But day to day I don’t think it would be an issue.
I have to respond on this since my given name is Gwenelle (said [name]Gwen[/name]-elle). I went be [name]Gwen[/name] growing up because it was easier for my kid friends to say & spell. By the time I hit my mid teens, I started going by the given name. Childhood friends still call me [name]Gwen[/name], which is fine. But if anyone had ever called me [name]Gwennie[/name], that was fightin’ words!! In my opinion, you gotta go with the shorter [name]Gwen[/name] as a nickname or no nickname at all. Maybe you should use my name! In all of my 28yrs, I’ve never come across another Gwenelle. Kind of a pride thing for me. But, Gwenelle does give the option of going with [name]Gwen[/name] or [name]Elle[/name] for nickname.
That’s a plus.
