Hacinthia v Hycinthia

I got so many lovely suggestions from my thread about names similar to [name]Blaire[/name] so that you for that. I put a lot on my own personal list since SO sees no sense in having more than one name picked for each gender so I have them on hold on my own personal list.

SO picked Hycinthia as a middle name for [name]Blaire[/name]. I don’t know where he pulled it from. And after I bit of digging I found [name]Hacinthia[/name], but SO is instant on the “y” over the “a”. Is it that too “trendee” or unacceptable? I don’t want people thinking SO and I can’t spell but I’m not a huge fan of either spelling.

Did he mean [name]Hyacinthe[/name]/[name]Hyacinth[/name] like the flower?

Well, [name]Hyacinth[/name] (the flower) is spelled with a y. I’m not sure [name]Hacinthia[/name] or Hycinthia is a name. [name]How[/name] do you feel about [name]Hyacinth[/name] instead? Personally, I think it’s much nicer!

EDIT - According to Nameberry, Hacinthia is a variation of Jacinta (which is the Spanish version of Hyacinth).

I thought he meant Hycanith at first too. Lol. It took some digging to find out [name]Hacinthia[/name] is an actual name. He sad Hycanith is okay but he likes Hycinthia better. He’s other suggestion that I remember was [name]Alexandria[/name] and I know there was another 4+ syllable ending in -ia so I think that’s what he likes about it.
