[name_m]Just[/name_m] saw this name recently and it kind of struck a chord. I nixed [name_f]Hailey[/name_f]/[name_u]Haley[/name_u]/[name_f]Hayley[/name_f] etc a while back because of the abundance of spellings and pronunciations people come up with. [name_u]Halle[/name_u] seems simpler to me but I want opinions. Would people say [name_u]Halle[/name_u] rhymes with valley or still as if it rhymes with [name_u]Bailey[/name_u]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] I spell it with the I or is that too nicknamey looking? [name_f]Do[/name_f] I throw a y at the end or would that hinder pronunciation again?
I have an [name_f]Anna[/name_f] already an I’m also wondering if the names jive. Her mn is [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] so it’s very old school and feminine. I think an older school mn would balance any modern vibes of [name_u]Halle[/name_u] but I’m not sure. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] and [name_u]Halle[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] and [name_u]Halle[/name_u] [name_f]Maureen[/name_f]?
I prefer the [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] spelling but I know what you mean about it looking a bit nicknamey. [name_u]Halle[/name_u] is a familiar enough name for people to know how to pronounce it. I’ve also liked the spelling [name_u]Halley[/name_u] for a whilst.
[name_u]Halle[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is lovely but I [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is way to popular as a middle for my taste. [name_u]Halle[/name_u] [name_f]Maureen[/name_f] is too old fashioned imo.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_u]Halle[/name_u] sound good together, my only criticism is it’s very similar to the names of the twins in the ‘The Parent Trap’ which were [name_f]Annie[/name_f] and [name_f]Hallie[/name_f].
I love [name_u]Halle[/name_u], which definitely ryhmes with valley. I love [name_u]Halle[/name_u] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] as sisters. I think a “y” would be unnecessary and add confusion.
I am a fan of [name_f]Hallie[/name_f]. I prefer the “ie” spelling. [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has been a favorite combo of mine for years. I think [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] works nicely with the sister name. They both have a feminine gently old-fashioned vibe. [name_f]Ann[/name_f]@ D0r0thy & H@ll!e R0se would be lovely!
[name_f]Hallie[/name_f] is pretty vintage imo, so I think it works with [name_f]Anna[/name_f]! As a [name_u]Haley[/name_u], I seem to get mine mispronounced as rhyming with valley, and I’ve always found it strange, because to me, that spelling should have two Ls.
I dont think [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] would be a problem, but without the I, it could cause spelling issues.
