Halle's middle name

Which family MN do you like best??
[name]Halle[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Halle[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Halle[/name] [name]Regina[/name]

Thanks!!

I like [name]Margaret[/name] or [name]Jane[/name] best. [name]Halle[/name] [name]Jane[/name] has a more similar flow to [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Marie[/name] if that’s important to you. While [name]Regina[/name] and [name]Margaret[/name] have the same syllable count, I like the contrast of texture between [name]Halle[/name] and [name]Margaret[/name] more than the repeating e sound of [name]Halle[/name] [name]Regina[/name] - though that may be a reason for others to prefer [name]Regina[/name]!

[name]Halle[/name] [name]Regina[/name]. I like the stong sounding in [name]Regina[/name], it matches the soft [name]Halle[/name].

[name]Halle[/name] [name]Jane[/name] sounds lovely, and works well with [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Marie[/name]!

[name]Hi[/name], [name]Erin[/name]! [name]How[/name] is little [name]Lucia[/name]?! I’d choose [name]Halle[/name] [name]Regina[/name]. There’s something glitzy about [name]Regina[/name] that gives [name]Halle[/name] extra international appeal, if you will, and some added richness. [name]Love[/name] the sound and the name.

I would choose [name]Regina[/name]. It’s definitely not as expected as [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Margaret[/name]

[name]Halle[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is precious! Perfect. I also think [name]Halle[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] is fantastic, but [name]Halle[/name] [name]Jane[/name] just grabs me. I am not a fan of [name]Regina[/name].

Thanks [name]Lemon[/name]!!! [name]Lucia[/name] is GREAT and can’t wait to be a big sister!!

For those who asked, our last name sounds a lot like “Purple”. DH’s moms name is [name]Janet[/name] so [name]Jane[/name] would be to honor her… But it’s not exact so I am not sure she will appreciate it as much as [name]Regina[/name] which is her mom’s middle name (Dh’s maternal grandmother) whom just passed last month. I know it would mean a lot to her!

I may ask her which has more meaning to her, [name]Regina[/name] or [name]Jane[/name]. [name]Margaret[/name] is a distant aunt of hers and the only reason it’s in the mix is because all the rest of us have M middle initials and I kind of like the idea of continuing that, but its not as meaningful as [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Regina[/name] would be.

Thanks for input!!!

[name]Halle[/name] [name]Regina[/name], for sure. Very pretty and unexpected

I like [name]Halle[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] the best. And I just dislike the name [name]Regina[/name]. (It’s spelling is reminiscent of female anatomy, if you know what I mean…)

Aw. [name]Glad[/name] to hear [name]Lucia[/name] is so well, and so excited for her baby sibling to arrive!

I think asking [name]Janet[/name] which she’d prefer is a great idea - [name]Halle[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is darling, and [name]Halle[/name] [name]Regina[/name] shines. You can’t really go wrong. It sounds like [name]Margaret[/name] is a distant third, but I see what you’re saying about continuity of the M middle initial. Is [name]Marie[/name] your middle name? For some reason I thought that’s where [name]Lucia[/name]'s middle name came from…

For what it’s worth, and I’m guessing this might not fly for honoring family in your situation, you could use an M name that means “queen” like [name]Regina[/name] - my favorite is [name]Malka[/name], which is one of the comfy nickname-type names centuries old. [name]Just[/name] an idea.

I like [name]Halle[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Halle[/name] [name]Margaret[/name].

[name]Halle[/name] [name]Jane[/name]- This sounds so retro, almost like a double barrel. Very sweet. I think [name]Jane[/name] is so underused with such a beautiful history and great namesakes.

[name]Halle[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]- This is great as well. [name]Margaret[/name] is still a true classic with great namesakes. [name]Margaret[/name] sounds more formal and flows a tad but better with [name]Halle[/name].

Yes [name]Marie[/name] is both my middle and my mom’s middle… So DH’s mom gets the honor this time

Her middle name is [name]Lee[/name], which is obviously not a match with [name]Halle[/name] so that’s why we are looking at broader ways to honor her.

I may ask her or let DH make the call.

There is still a chance she could be named [name]Remi[/name] (esp if shes born a redhead), [name]Jocelyn[/name] or [name]Adrienne[/name] too… But [name]Halle[/name] is my current favorite!

The total list right now is:
[name]Halle[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Halle[/name] [name]Regina[/name]
[name]Remi[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Remi[/name] [name]Lee[/name]
[name]Jocelyn[/name] [name]Lee[/name]
[name]Adrienne[/name] [name]Lee[/name] “[name]Andie[/name]”

Gotta tell you, [name]Erin[/name], I really like [name]Adrienne[/name] [name]Lee[/name] with [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Marie[/name]. But [name]Halle[/name] is so perky! Hm. It’s a tough call. Also, just throwing this out there, but I love [name]Cassia[/name] for a little redhead sister to [name]Lucia[/name]. It’s just so playful and spunky! I go back and forth if I like [[name]CASS[/name]-ee-a] or [[name]CASH[/name]-a] - same thing with [name]Lucia[/name], right? Though yours is a [LOO-sha], yes?

Best!

Yes she is Loo-sha… So I feel like [name]Cassia[/name] is either too matchy with the sh sound, or confusing.

I love all four on the list so we have some good choices once we see her!

Thanks!!!

Yea, I do think you’re right with the matching sounds. I just want someone to use [name]Cassia[/name] - can you tell?! Ha.

[name]Halle[/name], [name]Adrienne[/name], [name]Jocelyn[/name], [name]Remi[/name]. I don’t think you can go wrong here. I think my favorites are [name]Adrienne[/name] and [name]Halle[/name]. Actually, I quite think I might like to be called [name]Halle[/name], so maybe that’s my favorite.
