Handsome & modern

[name]Hi[/name] berries!!

I am due with baby boy #2 [name]December[/name] 2nd and would really love and appreciate some help! My husband and I have a small list of possibilities but we will not decide until we meet him. Last time around we went with something classic, this time I want a name you don’t hear everyday. Hubby is a tough sell!

I have two stepsons [name]Joseph[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] & [name]Joshua[/name] [name]Grant[/name] and our son’s name is [name]Nicholas[/name] [name]James[/name] (nn Bam).

Names we both like:

[name]Maximus[/name] - a lot of names I try to consider just insta-fade next to this one.
[name]Maximilian[/name] - same as the name above. Find this one very handsome and rich with the added european flair.
[name]Jack[/name] - love this one and he might just be a little [name]Jack[/name], this is one that I would never get tired of hearing.
[name]Shiloh[/name] - love this one too and not concerned about the celebrity baby.
[name]Luca[/name] - Somedays I love it.
[name]Noah[/name] - Somedays I love it.

Names I like: [name]Finn[/name]. [name]Harper[/name]. [name]Grey[/name]. [name]Shia[/name].

Names hubby likes: [name]Beau[/name]. [name]Rocco[/name].

For a mn I want to go with my maiden name which has a very special value to me, Magno (pronunced like ‘‘magma’’ but with a no in the end). Only other mn I’ve considered is [name]Alexander[/name]. Last name is a five letter virtue word starts with an N.

[name]Jack[/name] Magno [name]Alexander[/name] would be so handsome with your other boys’ names!

I like [name]Beau[/name] [name]Harper[/name].
[name]Maximus[/name] Magno is definitely a super-hero name, kind of zany with the alliteration and the images of success and largeness that it calls up. It wouldn’t work if your son didn’t have a sense of humor about it. But I think it’s aces!

I love both [name]Max[/name] variations and you can never go wrong with [name]Jack[/name]. I agree I never grow tired of hearing my son’s name either.

For the sake of showing the flow, let’s say your surname is [name]Noble[/name]

[name]Maximus[/name] Magno [name]Noble[/name] - Over-the-top cartoonish and heavy on the macho swagger. Pass.

[name]Maximilian[/name] Magno [name]Noble[/name] - slightly better than [name]Maximus[/name] but not ideal.

[name]Jack[/name] Magno [name]Noble[/name] - I love [name]Jack[/name] Magno. Not too crazy about the back-to-back no-no’s but it’s not a deal breaker because of the family significance of the middle name. [name]Jack[/name] Magno [name]Alexander[/name] would be better.

[name]Shiloh[/name] Magno [name]Noble[/name] - too much “o”

[name]Luca[/name] Magno [name]Noble[/name] - [name]Luca[/name] is the Italian form of [name]Luke[/name] and this combo isn’t bad. I can’t help feeling that [name]Luca[/name] would be the exotic one next to [name]Joseph[/name], [name]Joshua[/name] and [name]Nicholas[/name].

[name]Noah[/name] Magno [name]Noble[/name] - again, too much “o” and [name]Noah[/name] would share an initial with [name]Nicholas[/name].

Faves: [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Luca[/name]

I like [name]Max[/name](but not the longer versions, [name]Finn[/name], [name]Grey[/name], and [name]Jack[/name].

Thank you for your replies!

I see your points about [name]Maximus[/name], this is in fact our number one contender, I’ve always just thought it to be so handsome and strong, I also love the nn [name]Max[/name], and somehow when I say the full name it doesn’t seem so heavy, maybe it’s my accent. And I wonder how much it really matters if he would mostly always be going by his first and last name?

Mischa, I should say my husband is American of Italian descent and I am a full blown foreigner with an exotic name, so I am not afraid of exotic.
