I like it better for a boy, but I think it could work for a girl, too.

I voted for a girl because I have heard of it being used on a girl. I suppose it was spelled [name_m]Henley[/name_m], which I think is worse because it contains “hen”.

[name_m]Hanley[/name_m] could easily work on a boy, but I think I prefer it on a girl. That last “lee” syllable makes the name sound very feminine to me. Though I suppose I do know several male Lee’s as well…

[name_m]Henley[/name_m] I see more as boy. Maybe because of the shirt?

I think that it is too confused really for either gender but I picked girls because of the soft sounds. [name_m]Henley[/name_m] would be a stronger choice.

Sorry, it doesn’t really sound like a name at all to me, so I couldn’t really pick boy or girl. I really like [name_f]Erin[/name_f]/[name_m]Aaron[/name_m], though.

I expect this response. I somewhat agree, but there is a quality about it I like. I’ve tried presenting similar names to him and he doesn’t like any of those. This one, for whatever reason, he does. I don’t mind [name_f]Erin[/name_f], it just doesn’t do much for me. And for some reason I strongly dislike [name_m]Aaron[/name_m].

Sounds and looks like [name_u]Stanley[/name_u], so I’d say boy.

Something about the sound feels masculine to me. Maybe it’s because it sounds a little like [name_m]Hanson[/name_m], [name_m]Harlan[/name_m], and Hanlin.

I prefer it on a boy, but I suppose it would work for a girl. I think I know what band your hubby is talking about and every time I hear the name [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] all I can think about is the singer of the band, so maybe that’s why I prefer it on a boy.

The Han- part just sounds really masculine [name_f]IMO[/name_f]

Or maybe because [name_m]Henley[/name_m] sounds similar to [name_m]Henry[/name_m].

A close friend just named their son Hanlon

Boy to me.

I like [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] for a boy or a girl…

[name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m], [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_m]Zander[/name_m], [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_m]Zane[/name_m], [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_m]Rowe[/name_m], [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m]…

or

[name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_f]Jade[/name_f], [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_f]Michelle[/name_f], [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_f]Brynne[/name_f], [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]

Thanks! I’m not too worried about nailing down an exact name just yet, considering I’m not pregnant yet! But I am finding it hard to imagine [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] with any middle name! I kind of like [name_m]Hanley[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m], but something is off to me. And almost all of my favorite girl names are L heavy, so just don’t sound right.
