What do you guys think of [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f]? The middle name is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. And if you have any experience with double names, how do you do initials? H-C?
Thanks!

I think it could work. It’s not too long to say and the names are placed in a way that would make it easy to say. My name is also hypenated, [name_f]Gia[/name_f]-Waihan, but I’ve gone mostly by [name_f]Gia[/name_f] my entire life. I don’t use the hyphen in my initials, I just use the first letter of each name (GW__). I also love the pairing of [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, although it’s NMS personally. I know a girl named [name_f]Kristi[/name_f]-[name_f]Anne[/name_f], and she just used the ‘K’ because to her, [name_f]Kristianne[/name_f] is the same thing as [name_f]Kristi[/name_f]-[name_f]Anne[/name_f]. But I don’t see why you couldn’t do HCE_, too, since Hannahclaire isn’t exactly the same as [name_f]Kristianne[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] works best, and seems more versatile to me if your daughter wants to go by a nickname or a combination of her names.
Double first names are not generally my style, but I think [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] are pretty together, and add up to an entirely reasonable three syllables, so it rolls off the tongue well If you really want both names to be used on a regular basis as a fist name, I would definitely use the hyphen, otherwise it risks looking like two middle names and she might just end up as [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] at school, etc. (this is less of a risk with more established double names like [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] or [name_u]Rae[/name_u] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] where people are familiar with it as a two-part first name, but I don’t think that would be the case for [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] without a hyphen). I think H-C would be her initials, though maybe only HC would be included in a monogram-style.
Double names are fairly common where I live. I think [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is lovely. In response to your question about initials, I’ll give an example of what I’ve seen. [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] would be MCB, but if she’s just [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] then it would be MGB.
