I think there was a thread like this last [name_u]January[/name_u], so I was thinking it would be fun to do it again. What is the name of the “new years baby” in your city/town/province/state/area?
In the Greater Toronto Area, apparently the first baby of the new year was named [name_f]Jenna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and born at the stroke of midnight.
In our lovely Nation’s Capital (yours and mine, [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] lol), it’s a Mélissa.
And I always looks up babies where I used to live, so the first Basque baby is actually twins named Aize and Enai, and the first Valencian baby is a girl named [name_f]Mar[/name_f] (swoon…okay I read another report with says it’s [name_f]Mara[/name_f]… I’m not sure now).
In the capital region of NY the first baby was Jerrimiah [name_m]Ellias[/name_m] (B) 2:14am. The second was Neah’ Couture (G) at 4:38am.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] looked to see the new year baby in my area. I live in IL 3 hours west of Chicago. The baby boy is named Jaxsten [name_u]Jae[/name_u] arriving at 12:31 am
In my city, our first baby was at 12:02 and was named [name_m]Julius[/name_m] [name_u]Wade[/name_u]. In nearby cities there is Madelynne [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Serenity[/name_f] (middle not listed).
Here on [name_u]California[/name_u]'s [name_u]North[/name_u] Coast, the first baby was [name_f]Laila[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f], born at 12:21. Liking the name. 
Here in the hospitals in southwest [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] (they showed more than just my area on the news) we had [name_u]Seth[/name_u] O’[name_u]Neal[/name_u], [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u], and [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]. I really like [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]; she sort of sounds like a character in a book.
First Alaskan baby was [name_m]Richie[/name_m] Rithy. Not sure if [name_m]Richie[/name_m] is the given name or short for [name_m]Richard[/name_m]. Rithy is Cambodian for strength.
I just read that one of the first babies born in Lubbock, TX was named So’[name_u]Unique[/name_u] [name_f]Miracle[/name_f] [name_m]Randle[/name_m]…
The first baby born in my county was [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]. Other babies that were first’s in their hospitals in NJ include [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Shreya[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Amir[/name_m], [name_u]Jayden[/name_u] [name_m]Nazareth[/name_m], and [name_f]Samya[/name_f]. I just read this article about twins born in Toronto. They were born right before and right after the [name_m]New[/name_m] Year. The city next to where I live had [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_u]Shelly[/name_u] and a city about 45 minutes away had [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]. They were both born 3 seconds after midnight!
A boy named [name_u]Noah[/name_u] Imnanuel was the first in my area.

Apparently the first baby born in the UK is called [name_f]Gracie[/name_f], followed by [name_m]Martin[/name_m], [name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f]-[name_u]Jai[/name_u] (they didn’t give the middles)
